Army Institute of Fashion and Design offers a total of three scholarships to its students i.e. ESSA Scholarships & PM Scholarships. AIFD Bangalore was established in 2004 and is running under the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES).

A brief information on AIFD Scholarships is mentioned below:

ESSA Scholarships

Education Scholarship Scheme for Army Personnel (ESSA) has been reviewed and important aspects are enumerated in succeeding paras.

Eligibility Criteria for ESSA Scholarships

Serving Army personnel children not attained 25 years of age at the time of completion of class/course from class IX to PG level of education studying in Govt/Recognised Private Educational Institutions.
Wards of Retired Army Personnel, Territorial Army personnel (TA) and deceased Army personnel are not eligible.

Method of Selection for ESSA Scholarships

Wards of Retired Army Personnel, Territorial Army personnel (TA) and deceased Army personnel are not eligible.

All children above cut-off percentages of marks would be awarded scholarships.

Rate of ESSA Scholarship

The rates of scholarships, based on the level of education for all categories are as under:

Level of Education	Scholarship Amount
Class IX to XII	INR 1500 Per Annum
Graduation	INR 2500 Per Annum
Professional/PG courses	INR 6000 Per Annum

PM Scholarships

The Prime Minister's Scholarship Program was launched for the 2006–07 academic year. To support dependent wards of former Coast Guard and service members as well as their widows pursuing higher technical and professional education (below officer rank only). A total number of 5500 students will be selected equally for boys & girls (ie. 2750 each)

Eligibility for PM Scholarships

Students studying in 2nd and subsequent years are not eligible.
Students who are Dependent Wards / Widows of Ex Servicemen & Ex Coast Guard personnel who died in harness / disabled due to causes attributable to military service/coast guard service, irrespective of the rank.
Dependent wards of Ex Servicemen / Ex Coast Guard personnel and their widows (below officer rank only).
Wards of Civilians including Para Military Personnel are NOT ELIGIBLE.

Priority for Grant of Scholarship

Order of preference for selection of candidates will be as under:-

Category 1	Wards / Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel killed in action.
Category 2	Wards / Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel disabled in action and boarded out of service with disability attributable to Military / Coast Guard service.
Category 3	Wards / Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel who died while in service for causes attributable to Military / Coast Guard Service.
Category 4	Wards / Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel disabled in service with disability attributable to Military / Coast Guard Service.
Category 5	Wards / Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel in receipt of gallantry awards.
Category 6	Wards / Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel (PBOR Only).

Amount of Scholarship

INR 2000 per month for boys and INR 2250 per month for girls. Paid initially on selection and subsequently on successful completion of Board/ University/ College/Institute Examinations each year without failure.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee hike policy is that you can pay fees in 2 installments semester wise total cost to study is 169469/- you can get pmss scholarship, Army Ward scholarship etc. You will get a 100% internship and placement in retailing and visual merchandising.

I love my college

Fees and Financial Aid:

yearly we have to pay around 169469 rupees as army bart and for civilian fee structure is different they need to pay 200046 rupees yearly to the college. They provide scholarships for high education and army brat like pmss etc. Right now I didn't get a job because I am still pursuing my 3 Rd year.

I would say that this college is really good for army wards because the cost for them is a little less. For one year the fees are almost 2,89,201. And for the years its almost 781201. Which is pretty good compared to other designing colleges even though the facilities here are better. But apart from this fees, you have to pay for the books, the materials you're gonna buy, all of these you're going to have to spend extra cause they don't pay for all this. Their placement is nice. In fact, that's the major reason I joined this college. They have fashion shows and everything and you get to be a model. Apart from that, all famous companies come for recruitment like puma, marks and Spencer, Pantaloons etc. And the highest salary is 45-50k per month. They have a genuine 100% placement. They have a placement committee as well.

A good institute for army brats

No, there is no scholarship as such offered by the college. But yes if you secure 1st place in academics you will be awarded with some amount and there are many such small rewards. Loan facility is not provided by the college.

Institution helps in getting educational loan where students require, The institution has been recognized with some of the best banks in India for educational loan facility, Hence fees shouldn't be an issue. also they have broken the structure into annual fees and hostel can in be paid half yearly so this reduces the burden on parents and students.

Our college provides AGIF scholarship to 15 students who get the top marks. We are provided with 40,000 INR. Students recieve this scholarship on a yearly basis in the month of MAY.
