College review of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay Government Medical College and Hospital.

Likes

As we are the 1st batch we are getting the library and the labs brand new. We are the 1st to use the apparatus and all in the college which gives us more interest to study and learn.

Dislikes

The college is developing very slowly so we have to face lots of problems too. The cadaver for the anatomy practical came too late so we had to study large syllabus in short duration of time.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tution fee is very low as compared to others colleges. There are no as such extra fees. Cost of education is approx 12k for 1st year including books. We get swami vivekanand scholarship if in the HS there is 60%. There is also oaisi scholarship for obc. The scholarship is continued if you get 60% in the 1st MB.

The tution fee is 4500 per semester and there are two semesters in a year and admission fee 1000(one time) and a caution deposit 1000(one time and refundable) No increase in tution fee. Complete cost of education- Tution fee 4500*9=40500, Hostel fees 144*5 = 720 The scholarship is available for state quota students- Swami Vivekananda scholarship program - 60000 per annum for students scoring 60% marks in final university exams The stipend is 30000 approx. for interns

Fees charged by college is 6500rs per yr and around 42k for the course Scholarships can be availed here easily We get 1yr of paid internship offered by state government with around 30k/month salary for all the pass-out students
