Likes

The college location is very beautiful, it has functioning department as well as hospital with both IPD and OPD services. Some department are lagging in faculty but overall it is managable
The interaction with teachers, seniors and juniors is quite enjoyable, we tend to learn alot from them. Hostel boarders enjoy more social interaction.
The faculty are well trained and experienced, there are no placement facilities, infrastructure is overall good.

Dislikes

Insufficient teachers, lack of extracurricular activities.
Low patient flow in hospital, some department provides with no clinical classes
Internship is for few days in some departments in few hospitals

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a student of Bams, the approach of Ayurveda is very holistic and aims to cure the disease and not the symptoms. The course might need adaptation in the beginning. 2 terminal exams are held ever year along with the final exams. Teachers take test on regular intervals.

About the NEIAH college life

Likes

Environment of college and location are good
Because of central college fees is to low
Student and senior are very cooperative, ragging free campus

Dislikes

Market are very expensive and the local people are drinking soo much

The curriculum is not decided by the college,it decided by ministry of ayush # curriculum and course are good #in every year u have write 1 university exam and 2 terminal exam # terminal exam is necessary to pass for appearing in university exam for the batch 2023-24

Affordable Central institute Govt. Medical college.
Weather is very nice,Mountains & hills views are superb
It is one of the best Hillstation in our country.

Dislikes

There is Language barrier although English is used.
Compound is very small,No space for any other co-curricular activities.
Market is too far from college also taci is not available all the time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For Ayurveda, The curriculum is updated but still there are soo many things which has to be removed,as those things are not relevant with our real world. The internship plays a vital role in making our Graduates into PROFESSIONALS{Doctors}. Frequency of exam is very good they are on regular basis. However,Places of improvement is Administration system mainly Funding issue.

NEIAH, the heavenly college.

Likes

The environment of the college is so good. It is more on the colder side as it is situated on the hilly areas. More winter clothes will be advisable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has a very good scope. People unable to get mbbs can surely opt for this course as it is also a professional medical course. There are clinical postings starting from the 2nd year which gives the student exposure to the clinacal approach.

I liked the academics of the college it means the teachers are so devoted for teaching to students
There is proper class with strict timings
The OPD in the college hospital provides a wide experience of patients

Dislikes

The strict environment of the college ,it feels like you are in school
The hostel service's of the institution is too bad
The cultural activities are too less in a year

The course in itself is a very good course but in this college it is not as that good as compared to the other colleges.There are less teachers which leads to very less experience in some subject's like anatomy, physiology etc.The curriculum was different till 2022 batch and afterwards it has changed

Life at Neiah

Likes

Academic the teachers are much focused on studies
A good central library is there with all useful books
Good facilities at hostel well ventilated rooms

Dislikes

There are less co curricular activities mostly on some days only
The distance is very far from main market

The curriculum of BHMS is all about the application of knowledge to patients we have a good hospital to practice everything that we learn in college under the guidance of doctors There are exams every year and terminals in between.

Likes

The academics here , the teachers are more stressed on the academics .
The infrastructure of the institute is very nice .
They maintain proper hygiene in the hospital, and the doctors here are very nice towards patients

Dislikes

No other activities other then academics
They are more and more stressed only about studies, and no other opportunities for students.
They don't have faculty in some subjects

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm currently proceeding BHMS this course offers us to become a doctor who treats the patient with medicine which have least side-effects. We are everyday encountering the real world in the faces of patients by knowing the sufferings and helping them . In my opinion there's need to change sone of the aspects of homoeopathy so that we can be more focused on modern problems. We have two terminals here along with one university every year at an interval of 4-4 months , the question papers are bit difficult as I said we are dealing with the lives so as it needs to be difficult.....

NEIAH college and campus

I mainly like the weather at Shillong even in the summers there in no such scorching heat and the place always feels so fresh the location of the college so ideal that we enjoy the campus a lot
I really like my Proffesors they so professional at the hospital and at the same time highly active and enthusiastic in the classroom that I never feel bored of my lectures, they literally solves our doubt each time I ask something.
I really like the senior junior relationship at NEIAH before coming to college I was really afraid of the ragging story I have heard so far of other colleges but there is no essence of it in my college

Dislikes

I don't like that there is only one fest and literally no dj nights.
I don't like the food at my campus it too much refined flour in every dish

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as per my NEET score, the faculty student ratio is ideal and we have no vacant classes,the faculties hold MD/ MS degrees some have other diplomas also and few have done their PhD, their teaching methods are quite interesting, talking about the term exams they are arranged at right time and it's way easy to pass the term exam as in my case I even missed my 2nd term examination in my First year beacuse of some family issues still I managed to pass the exams

Likes

I like the faculty the are very helpful and generous
The seniors are really supportive and encouraging they help us in our studies and also in extracurricular activities
The environment is the one that I really love its really soothing, the beauty of Shillong is amazing

Dislikes

Sports events are very less it is mainly played in the college week
There is no such shops in our campus either for stationary or other requirements at college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I do have a huge faith on ayurvedic medications and I wanted to learn the beauty it holds in curing every disease that is left untreated in other pathies The faculty student ratio is quite good we have proffesors for every branches and all of them have done their MD/MS and some of them also holds a PhD degree The term exams are always on time and it's not that difficult to pass it if you are regular in your classes
