My College

Likes

Infrastructure of the college. Classrooms are big and spacious, many benches are available, projectors, blackboard etc.
Teachers are very helpful and supportive. They are very knowledgeable
Labs are also big and spacious all computers working correctly.

Dislikes

Canteen is available but it is closed all the time
Gym is also available but it is also close
Hostel food is not good at all! Very oily!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teachers teaching method is very impactful and easy to understand the lesson. Syllabus completed before 1 month of semester exam. As the teachers were very punctual and maintained the system.exam timings are also perfect.

This college has the best faculty team for each of the department
Is department has enough type of faculty members and the faculty members also very friendly towards the student
Many kind of clothes like products gloves and cyber security club centre for innovation classes help to innovate things for students which help there to develop their brain

Dislikes

This college is situated at a very hot place like Jalpaiguri wet travelling is the main problem
Ab because of the high altitude of this college there is a major problem is a water problem what is supply problem
Is college has no contact with big metropolitan city Kolkata because of their location

Placement Experience:

In the past few years this college has a massive placement record in the electrical engineering department and civil engineering department there is also hundred percent and also the non cooperational computer science information technology and electrical communication engineering department has the maximum amount of placement in on campusing

Comprehensive review of Cooch Behar Government College : A blend of guidance and growth

Likes

Rooms are big that every room can carry more than 100 students
The campus is so large that it contains 3 sports fields, 5 hostels and 3 building for academic purposes
Students have so many facilities provided by college

Dislikes

College doesn't provide any scholarship.
College don't have any auditorium for cultural program.
Class management is so poor, sometimes classes are choosen to be off by professors

Placement Experience:

As per record on campus placement is really amazing compared to other colleges being in rural area.. employability is quite impressive. Jalpaiguri is the best college nearby so it is also not bad in its own.

Likes

Mainly improvement is like the faculty staff member increase
And Aadhar site like the ground cleaning etc
Menly the college campus is more beautiful than other campus

Dislikes

The days like is like hostel food is not very good
The surrounding of hostel area is not so very good
In hostel area mosquitoes are there very much

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the coochbehar Government engineering College curriculum activities very good. There is so many activities like football, volleyball, badminton, cricket, mainly nowadays open a gym. In gym there are so many equipment and facilities are there. the trainer is also good

Likes

College is situated beside the torsha river.
Beautiful environment and nature besides the college
Room rent outside the campus is student friendly

Dislikes

College placement is very poor, doesn't have proper placement officer
College have 4 hostel building but doesn't provide hostel to junior students. Only final year students get the hostel facility
Not a single company visited this college in 2024

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is comprehensive and relevance to the course that I have enrolled. But the curriculum is out dated, recent technology should be included in the course curriculum to improve the comprehensive and relevance to the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have done my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from here, To choose this course I got inspire from my previous academic that help me to make my decision. There is nothing deficult or nothing too easy in engineering. Just enjoy the journey.

The academic phase is very less as it is a government college. Everyone can afford this but for this you have to clear wbge or glad with a good rank
The labs are fully equipped with equipments and library also as sufficient books
The professors are very humble and teach very well

Dislikes

No hostel for 1st 2nd 3rd year students. Only 4th year students have hostel
College is little bit far from main road you have to work 8 to 10 minutes to reach college
The infrastructure could be better college is new but looks very old

Placement Experience:

As the college is new and I am a 2nd year letter student I have not much idea about placements but the placement is average TP cell is very much active to improve campus placement but the academic system is very good so students get job easily even without campus placement I came to know from one of my senior that 7 lakhs per anum is the highest package from the college I plan to give GATE exam after getting my degree

Likes

Best affordable fees structure for everyone.
Library is available for every students.
There is big playing group to play different types games.

Dislikes

College has Limited lab instrument which is not enough to perform lab equipment.
Hostel is not ready to distribute students.
College has limited staff, professor, this is not enough for a engineering college.

Placement Experience:

If i compre to other government college with placement then in our college placement is not good. In our college need to upgrades placement faculty and process. Name of company visited in our college is LNT, ADANI, TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO etc.

The academic fees is very less as it is a government college. Everyone can afford this but for this you have to clear wbjee or jelet with a good rank.
The labs are fully equipped with equipments and library also has sufficient books.
The professors are very humble and teach very well. They have so much knowledge and teaching in very good.

Dislikes

The infrastructure could be better. College is new but looks very old.
There are hostels only for 4th year students. Rest year students have to pay a huge rent outside.
College is little bit far from main road. You have to walk 8-10 mins to reach college from main road but that's not a big problem.

Placement Experience:

As the college is new and I'm a 2nd year lateral student i have not much idea about placements. But the placement is average. TP cell is very much active to improve campus placement. But the academic system is very good so students can get job easily even without campus placement. I came to know from one of my senior that 7lakhs per annum is the highest package form the college. I planned to give GATE exam after getting my degree.

All about Coochbehar Govt.Engineering College.

Likes

Lush green campus.Situated beside torsa river.
There are many clubs for extra curricular activities
Ragging free campus.Seniors are helpful.

Dislikes

On campus placement is not so good. It is average.
Currently no hostel for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students(boys).
Classes are not held regularly. Less number of faculties.

There are 5 departments in our college - Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering. As our college is affiliated with MAKAUT so it has to follow makaut rules but the course curriculum should be updated and should develop the practical knowledge of the students in their respective courses.
