Likes

College faculty members are very good behaviour and all faculty need to improve students knowledge
Campus quality very good because all campus clean and care full natural environment
College faculty members are need to provide placement

Dislikes

Campus quality ok but one boys hostel open, only 4th year student.
Other 3 boyes hostel not provided any year student,then student survive very struggling.
I need to improve Play ground and research room .

Admission:

I first got Purulia Government College but I updated earlier because traveling to Purulia was very difficult. But after upgrading I took admission in Cooch Behar Government Engineering College as this college is very convenient for commuting. It is a five-minute walk from New Cooch Behar Station to the bus stand and then from the bus stand to Harin Chaora Railgate and on foot.

All about my college- CGEC

Likes

The lab facilities and the atmosphere is very cool
The engagement with campus life and the quality of social interactions are so good.
The faculties are well qualified. All the teachers are PhD holder.

Dislikes

The distance is very far from my home town.
The placement of the college is not so in a metropolitan city.
All the auditoriums are very far in the campus.

Admission:

The college is chosen by me for various reasons. Number one is the atmosphere. The college is situated in north Bengal so the atmosphere is very calm and healing. Number two the placement ratio is good enough from many good colleges. I got rejected by JU because I didn't choose the good branches over their which i should add in my choice filling

Coochbehar Government Engineering College full review

Likes

The infrastructure is very impressive well maintained classrooms, Campus, Labs, Library etc.
The view of the river Torsha beside the college in the evening is amazing.
The faculties are very supportive and well connected to students. There are many opportunities to show your skills in the events.

Dislikes

Little far from main city. You have to take hustle to reach the college.
The TPO cell need to be improved. Placements are good but need more improvement.
The boys and girls ratio is like 5:2 , I am not sure about the whole college.

Admission:

My hometown is Coochbehar, also after JGEC, CGEC is the most valuable government engineering college in Northern part of West Bengal. To get addmission in this college you have to qualify the WBJEE/JEE cutoff ranks for this college.

All about our Lovely CGEC

Likes

The campus is very big.The faculty were well taught
In my branch EE the boys vs girls ratio is1:3
The senior behaviour is very friendly and the college is well maintained.

Dislikes

Most of the time the classes will postpone
The college location is out of locality.
Sometimes in class it feels like school .

Admission:

Obviously JU and JGEC like college give more placement than it but it's newly built college and the college environment is too good .I chose this college one of reason is I Can't get any other High reputed college but apart from I took admission because of its infrastructure and the record of higher studies or government Job.

college campus is decent and good looking.
faculty is awsome and well educated.their teaching style is also good.
senior encourge us to jion club and college events.

Dislikes

no canteen no gym no interactive session with girls and boys
not too much students come college daily only few are come.
classes are not held properly and no mendetory to join classes.

Admission:

truely i joined this college due to low fees and low academic presure. I can prepare for any type of exam without any academic presure.You have to clear WB JEE exam with a certan rank 10k then you can join the college through WB JEE college admission process

Dislikes

no hostel is provided for the students of 1st year ,2nd and 3rd
lack of co-curriculum activity in college campus
daily classes,75 percentage attendace is required

Admission:

i applied in TMI (tolani maritime institute) for merchant navy as i cleared both WBJEE and IMUCET so i was abble to get my dream college TMI but i didnot choose as due to high demand of ECE engineers in upcomming years

The campus area is big and very beautiful
The teachers are good and well qualified
The college is near to Ghughumari and very easy to find transport

Dislikes

There are no daily classes takes place.
There are less teachers to take classes on daily basis

No Hostels are there except 4th year, May be 3rd year will get hostel in 2025
Number of Faculties are less and The room for Practical are Small

Chosing this college for getting Electrical in WBJEE. It's far from home so make you stronger and learn how to leave alone. There are less tution fees and all than other colleges. But as well as The Placement was average.

My review on Cooch Behar Government Engineering College

Likes

The classrooms and the labs in the college are clean and well equipped.
The educational background of the faculties are really impressive. Most of them have completed their graduation and masters from IIT.
The bonding and the interaction between the junior and senior students are very strong. The seniors are very polite and supportive to their juniors.

Dislikes

The classes are not taken according to the routine many times.
Boys hostel for 1st and 2nd year students has not yet started.
The placement statistics in this college is not promising. Most of the students opt for higher studies.

Admission:

To get admission in this college you have to appear for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and must be resident of West Bengal. As this is a well performing Government College in the state of West Bengal, the cut off goes high every year. I appeared for the exam and got this college through the counselling conducted by the WBJEE Board. I chose this college in the counselling because I was satisfied by the reviews and performance of this college in the last few years.

Our college campus is well maintained libraries,lab and recreational areas
Event and fastival participating in culture events, sports fests or academic competition enriches campus life.
Our colleges are professor with high expertise and Passion for teaching

Dislikes

Our colleges are infrastructure outdated buildings or lack of modern facilities
Insufficient transport facilities for commuting students.
Lack of internships, hands-on projects, or industry connection.

I applied some colleges like jalpaiguri government engineering college, ramkrishna Mahato government engineering college, kalyani government engineering college, coochbehar government engineering college but I confirmed addmission from coochbehar government engineering college.because this college unique blend of opportunities the aligned with my academic and personal goal. I not rejected to other colleges This college admission process is wbjee or jelet entrance exam.this college eligibility criteria of wbjee max 10000 rank and jelet max 1000 .
