Krishnath College was established in 1853 in Baharampur, West Bengal. It is affiliated to the University of Kalyani and is awarded by NAAC with grade ‘A’.
The college offers BA, BA (Hons). B.Sc and B.Sc (Hons) at UG level. At PG level, KNC offers MA and M. Sc courses. Admission to all these courses are done through counselling conducted by the college itself based on the merit in qualifying exam.

Krishnath College UG Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed HSC conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination conducted by other State Board/Council.
- A candidate should have passed in five subjects, one of which is English, if it is another Board/Council. Candidates who have passed only four subjects are not allowed to apply.
- Those who are taking Honours course in a subject should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and 55% in the subject ny related subject in his/her previous qualifying examination.
OR
- 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject in his/her previous qualifying examination.
OR
- 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in his/her previous qualifying examination.
Krishnath College UG Selection Criteria
- The selection of students solely depends upon the merit in the qualifying exam (10+2).
- A merit list will be published on the official website based on the rank.
- Candidates whose names are listed on this list have to appear for an offline counselling on a given date to get admission in the college.
- During the counselling, seats will be allotted to students based on their rank and availability of seat.
- Lastly, candidates have to report at the college for further admission process.
