PGDAV College Review

Likes

Faculties are really knowledgeable and good.
The cricket ground is humongous and cricket team is good.
The canteen is very good with economical food and great flavour.

Dislikes

The classrooms are a bit tacky and feels old.
The infrastructure is typical of government college.
Certain courses are a bit over demanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in commerce and thats why i planned to do bcom. All faculties are PHD in their respective fields and are helpful and knowledgeable in their subject. Exams are held frequently with continuous assesment of assignments internals and quizzes.

Life at PGDAV College

Likes

College Sports Ground.Various Sports like cricket football and volleyball.
Library-Library has books of all genres and also Study Materials.
Canteen-Canteen is a fun place to hang and enjoy the delicious and hygienic food.

Dislikes

Frequent Document Submission-We are asked to submit documents very frequently.
Early Morning classes- Some classes are scheduled very early in the morning which makes students living far away for college travel very early.
Classrooms-Classrooms can be improved a bit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose my course(BCom)as I want to pursue an MBA after my graduation hoping it would help me in my higher studies. The faculty members of my college are specialists in their own subject of teaching and provide us with deep knowledge and understanding of a particular subject. Exams were scheduled for both semesters and you need to study timely and have in-depth knowledge to score well in your exams.

Likes

The crowd of the college was very good. It's always fun
The food quality of canteen is good and affordable.
Faculty is very helpful and always ready to help.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college is not good.
College is always under construction dong know what they are building.
College garden is not well maintained students can not sit there.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year we are eligible for the campus placement. The highest package offered was 32Lpa and the lowest was 3Lpa many companies visit for campus placement like Accenture, Deloitte etc. I probably planning to pursue a master's after completion.

Bsc Hons CS toughness is moderate. One has to do hard work to score well, which we have to do in any course. But with a little bit of dedication and consistency, one must score very well in the exam.

Infrastructure and crowd of the college.
Canteen of the college was very good and adequate size.

Dislikes

Old building of the college has very bad infrastructure.
There was no motivation for studying in class.

All the students from all courses are eligible for placement who are in 3rd year without any backlog. companies like Blue Dart, chegg, LinkedIn etc visited the campus but is a 42.85% placement rate. Going for a master's degree after completing this course.

overall was good , but i can not able to spent campus life because of covid when we take addmission in college that time was covid so, our classes was in online mode and also cultural fest was online that time.
In pgdav college provide all facilities to their students like medical help , and they provide library in library students can take book which they like to study. and canteen faculty also available you can take lunch in canteen .
Pgdav college provide a cell placement to their students they help to students to grow their career . and college provide highest salary's placements to students so, its a very good opportunity for students.

Dislikes

My overall campus life experience i don't like it ,because in my college time was covid was running that's why i can't enjoy campus life.
I don't like class rooms facilities in pgdav collge because there is no any Ac facilities and fans ruu very slowly. in summers we cant stay in class room.
There is no any placement facilities for non college students. so i dislike this things,

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I had done 12th Arts, I opted for this course. The student ratio was very high at that time. The teaching method was very good and all teacher was very friendly with all students. There were two semester exams in a year. If you study for the exam then the exam is very easy. The same teacher who used to teach appeared in the exam.

I didn’t like placements opportunities, sometimes the behaviour of students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I loved literature and wanted to go ahead with this course. The faculty was nice and ample for the class ratio which would be 6:80. The faculty of the college was commendable until a few teachers left and a new teacher came who was a little unfamiliar with all of this. The teaching method was great, we had discussions, internal tests, and presentations. Twice a year and it was pretty easy to pass if you had studied a little.

Likes

The Faculty members are really good and Hard working.
They focused on both i.e. Academics as well as in extra caricular activities

Dislikes

Infrastructure of my college is not good but now they are working on it
The placement rate is minimum , they must work on it

Placement Experience:

After under graduation, the priority of students is to pursue their post-graduation. Students can sit in placement for 5 semesters and from 1 year they can join Placement Cell a society in college that will give all information regarding placement on the campus and its eligibility.

Likes

I like my college canteen because it is very big and clean
Campus life of my college everyday we enjoy the college life
Teachers are very good in teaching and teachers are very supportive

Dislikes

Structure of the college is very old and small
Classes canceled by teachers without information
Timing of the classes is not very comfortable

I choose this because I want to learn about human resource management, income tax, e-commerce etc. girls and boys ratio in my college is 1:2 there are good teachers with great communication skills the term exams are conducted after every 6 months

I like overall structure of my college there is very good campus
There is very neat and clean and affordable canteen
Good teachers with effective teaching skills

Dislikes

Classes canceled by teachers without information
Because of events and society work students dont focus on study
