Pgdav college,delhi university,yes or no?

Likes

The canteen ,it offers variety of foof items at low prices

Dislikes

Lack of air conditioner in classrooms except labs
The washrooms were less clean than expected

According to me PGDAV college is a perfect college Now whether you talk about infrastructure or study, this college is perfect in every way
The infrastructure of this college is also very good, there is a big playground where there is a cricket academy for both boys and girls.
PGdav college also has a lovely garden which is very beautiful

Dislikes

There is nothing to dislike in this college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The scheduling system of PGDV college is very good and counseling children from time to time is also one of its advantages. Children are surveyed as to which method of studying is the best so that all the children can easily understand all the problems.

The infrastructure provides good facilities for sports both indoor as well as outdoor .
There are various societies that students can join to learn many things.
One of the best canteen in Delhi university.

Dislikes

The college has political environment, which college students dont like.
There are a number of restrictions to do in college very strict policies.
The teachers are not cooperative and don't give benefits of attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exams are conducted once in 6 months, per semester, the overall curriculum and syllabus is although changed by NEP but students dont come to college to attend classes thats why teachers are also not interested to teach the students.

One of the most underrated college in university of delhi for bsc courses

Likes

PGDAV college comes in the top 3 best colleges for the course B.Sc. (H) Statistics.
Surrounding of the college is very student friendly with a lot of eateries and street market shopping
Very supportive and experienced faculties

Dislikes

Given its heterogeneous crowd, difficult to find like minded people
Not the grandest campus and infrastructure
Classes tend to get canceled at the last moment

Course Curriculum Overview:

University of Delhi provides top class experienced faculty, especially department of statistics in pgdav college is renowned and experienced. Curriculum is designed by the university itself and has nothing to do with the college individually. Same goes for the examination, which is held on a university level. More weightage to courses relevant to current scenario would make more sense like spss, sql, practicals etc

There is a separate cell in the college where regularly they trained the students and they provide internships and placement

Dislikes

Colleges infrastructure is not so good as i think before taking admission in college but yes now they are working on it renovate college

Their bcom department their faculty was really good as i think before taking admission . I will suggest that they should provide some new techinque to learn the new topics related to commerce section

Everything about pgdav college

Likes

Teachers are good and cooperative, they allow us to call anytime for any query related to the studies.
The infrastructure is good and they are now renovating and maintaining the college.
Placement cell actively work to provide internship to the students of a 2 3 months.

Dislikes

No hostel facility is provided but there are very less college in delhi university who provide the facility pf hostel.
Fest occur very rarely because of some misshapen in the past.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a commerce background student so i decided to choose this course. The curriculum prepares us for the real world application by providing practical knowledge and skills. In my suggestions they should call some influencer to held some seminar. The main exam held once a semester and teachers take class test for internal marks.

PGDAV College

When I got PGDAV college in first cutoff I was uncertain about how good it is,but when once I got addmission I found everything perfect there.
Professors from maths department are just phenomenonal, everyone of them taught us in such a good manner

Dislikes

The playground which once belongs to college is now property of some other organisations, Students are not allowed to enter it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose BSC (H) Mathematics, the reason for this was because I love mathematics from my high school. And the course structure that college provided us just structured in a beautiful manner . In first year ,we taught and learn the already known concept of 12th class and the difficulty level just keep increasing thereafter. Tutorial classes were there to clear our doubts . And we got enough time before exams to complete syllabus and its revision. Semester exams were after 5-6 months so that was enough.

Brief review of P.G.D.A.V College

Likes

Core subjects teachers are very good. No need for coaching if you pay attention in the class.
Canteen is big. And it is said to be the largest canteen of Delhi University.
Placements are good . And there are different societies to learn new things.

Dislikes

Some teachers were rude and arrogant. And does not take students seriously.
College was not so big. Except the canteen and of course play ground.
No a/c were there in the class. And there are two building old and new. New one is quite good but the old one is literally old. I mean ya old.

Placement Experience:

The students can sit in placement after 5th semester. But to have higher chances if getting placed you must have cgpa more than 7. Many companies visit the college such as zomato, lenskart, etc. Highest package is approx 23 lakh p.a. and average is 5.6 lakh p.a. According to my knowledge 50 to 60 percent students get placed. After i got my degree i am looking to do mba.

Pgdav college review

Likes

The college faculty is really great and knowledgeable. There expertise helps a lot.
The college canteen is very nice it has really subsidized rates and therefore very pocket friendly
The societies in the college is really great and give lot of experience and knowledge

Dislikes

The campus is too small and does not have all the facilities.
The administration is also not very good have to face lot of delays
The classrooms do not have ac therefore in summer it is very hot.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placement from 5th semester. More than 100 companies visited our campus last year. The highest package being 36 lakh and average being 7 lakh. From The student opting for Placement 80 % get placed from our college. My plan is to do higher studies after degree completion

Infrastructure has been improved for terms of everything washrooms are hygienic and everything beside it is cool and also the library its the most visited bplace its so wide and large . The infra before was a little okish butt now its very cool
The teacher are very nice and polite and also they are quite friendly
Though it is off campus but trust me ypu don’t get a reason for not choosing this On my way!

Dislikes

The first gate is open to only staff which is nearest to the metro huhhh
The security staff , we know its for security purpose but still they are quite rude
The classes are a bit suffocating as the strenghth is too much

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is Highly relevant and comprehensive and covers a diverse range if literary works and critical approaches which integrates contemporary issues like the rape of the lock, paradise lost , these books are a must and even for a curriculum they are very bold and interesting. It lack integration with critical theories and interdisciplinary perspectives there is a broad spectrum of voices
