The course curriculum is good, however, I am still not able to understand the cgpa and sgpa grading system but it's fine. And we got the new NEP SYLLABUS so basically we are the first batch to get so and therefore it's new to us.

I had an interest in biotechnology. It involves the application of biological principles as well as technology and career opportunities are good. Here is a good number of faculties and they taught really very well with the help of an electronic screen as well as a whiteboard. There are two semesters per year and each semester involves 1 midsem and 1 endsem exam.
You will find exceptionally talented faculties over here who will make you understand their subjects in the most intriguing way. The faculties in our institution are highly qualified from the most reputed institutions around the world Including WHO, Indian IITs and CSIR, University of California, etc. They give their best to shape the future of our country and now it completely depends on the students to what path they choose, because I have a lot many different kind of students who join here. Some of the are actually very serious and career oriented but most of them tend to forget why they are even here. So the opportunity is yours make the best of it and make it count. As far as placements are concerned to be very honest biotechnology does not provide a lot of job opportunities but it does provide a better opportunity to expand your knowledge while pursuing research and if you end up taking research as your career option I guarantee you will have a stable future ahead and trust e KIIT love to help all their dedicated students
One thing that is a little bit of a drawback is the fee structure but there are scholarships and student loans which make it a little easier. The fee structure is Rs. 1.5 Lakhs per semester we have a total of 10 semesters. Hostels cost up to Rs. 37 thousand depending upon the room you select.
Fee structure is quite expensive, hostel fee is different for AC and non AC. my fee structure for one semester is and non AC hostel - Tution fee-150000/-rs Hostel fee-21000/-rs Mess fee-17500/-rs Registration fee-1000/-rs Examination fee-1000/-rs
The only possible drawback of this place is the fee. If you come from a well off family and you happen to be the only child, in that case it's not much of a big deal. Otherwise, it's an expensive college to be in. The tution fee itself is 1.5 lakhs per semesters and we have 10 semester. To add to it, the hostel and food together add another at least 37k (20k for a three sharing, non AC room + 17k for food). The hostel fee structure is as follows: 20k - non Ac, 3 sharing 40k - Ac 3, sharing 60k - Ac, 2 sharing, attached bath (difficult for girls to get)
Expensive, total around 14 Lakh for the 5 year course which is bit higers but in this we get high-end labs which are required for proper development of our practical knowledge and placement. So the fee is higher but not too much.
The fee structure is feasible. But many students go for student loans to pay out their college fees. But one thing is for sure. The infrastructure of KIIT University is worth every penny you spend. The foreign exposure, all the industry conclaves, seminars and what not, make it a heaven for a student Willing to study.
