The fees structure of delhi university is very simple we have to pay fees semester wise and delhi university fees is also very low .so that's the part i really liked about delhi university .yes delhi university provides scholarship also.
They are very well experienced and most are phd holders, even the guest lecturers are so talented and inspiring and have a way to handle the students.
Last but not the least i liked the infrastructure too..the new building is just awesome. it is the best building among all the colleges.

Dislikes

The benches in the classroom is bad. the white board is also not good
The entrance exam was good but the normalisation process was very disappointed which was for no reason and the biggest game player was obviously the reservation quota(sc/st/obc).
Some teachers are very bad in teaching and they does not focus on student

College ki kahani ya badnami

People here are genuinely friendly and helpful.
The staff, whether it is guard or the people in canteen or the cleaners or the rest of the staff, they're genuinely so kind and helpful and they also care for the students as much as they can.
There's a photostat shop and a bank inside our campus so it's easy for the students to do their work related to these in college itself.

Dislikes

The food quality of canteen is not very appreciable, its mid only.
in few places there is no hygiene like the chat corner of our college, and the classrooms. Basically the classroom walls are pretty poor.
There's no maintenance for the classes, playground and etc

The course has been provided to me, though I don't have much interest in it and neither do I attend class regularly but it is a genuinely very nice course if you study properly and attend classes regularly. I feel good about the course when I study during exams time.

Likes

One of the best faculty in this College all professor are very helpful and kind Nature
Our campus is very good and wonderfully management
Lots of society is available like dance society,drama society etc

Dislikes

Grounds is very small cots of volleyball and basketball ball is not there
Sports equipments are very limited like volleyball, basketball etc are not in the sports room
Food quality is very bad and very unhygienic food in canteen

All About Zakir Husain Delhi College.

Likes

The college is located in a good location which was very much accessible to me via Indian railways. being a government college it allowed me to make a railway student pass which cost around 150 Rs for 3 months. It is also accessible via metro and Bus
The college canteen was very good during my batch. The food was very tasty and healthy prepared with hygiene kept in mind. Also the prices were very reasonable. Chilli potato, aaloo naan, aaloo puri, chole bhature were some of the best items.
Gardening is my hobby and the college is also very fond of it. It takes part in Delhi University's annual gardening competition in which it wins many prizes. My team won first and third prize in consecutive years. The gardening staff is very helpful

Dislikes

The college campus is very small. It did not have sports ground also due to which they do not organise big events. student parking is not allowed inside the college. Small placement drive(can experienc) and college fest is conducted unworthy to join.
Teachers look experienced and knowledgeable but they wont help or tell you things by their own. Student should go and ask them out about things, like what should they do apart from college studies. Being govt. organisation teachers do not bother much
My social life at college was very bad as I sticked to my friend group of 10 students. Students should reach out to all students of their class and also try to interact with seniors as they wont come to you on their own. Also take part in club events

Placement Experience:

My college did not provided much Placement assistance. It do hold placement drive but it not much worthy. Students should look for out campus placements or should apply in other colleges of DU if they are allowed to do so. Talking about the employability, One should learn the concepts well taught in the course and do internships after which they can get jobs in market easily.

Life at zakir Husain

Likes

Crowd of the college is very good and friendly.
Faculty is well qualified and supportive .
Auditorium is also very attractive and spacy.

Dislikes

Sports facilities are very limited, ground is not very big.
Infrastructure for specially my course is not up to points expected.
There are very few fests held in the college

Basically my sole dream is to become a good counseller so I opted for this course and this college as this college is also a bit famous for this course. difficultly level of exams are moderate of this course. There are class activities held for better understanding of course.

Reality of Off campus colleges of Delhi university which is often neglected

Likes

affordable fee. everyone can afford as it is a government college
faculty is a bit supportive. They understand u in times of you personal hardships
eventually my social interaction improved after going to college

Dislikes

infrastructure is really poor. College has a new building but is not inaugrated from years
no placement assistance, Cannot expect any monetary benifit from this college
no funds to spend on college i feel this because they didnt allow to turn on AC of auditorium, and the reason was that the expense of evening college was borne by morning college

course curicullum is good and covers good topics like in financial management we have done practical implications of various things on excel which gives u a snese of confidence also teachers are supportive most of the tmes. But there are a lot of assignments which is a waste of time

Typical off campus DU college review

Most of the professors I met have great personalities and teach really well.
Before joining I thought that the college surrounding area was dangerous, but it is not like that
Popular tourist attractions nearby e.g Connaught Place,Chandini Chowk,Red fort,Rajghat,India Gate etc

Dislikes

Literally non existence of physical activities ,The main small sized playground remains closed all time.Also nothing to do in free time ,if you think of studying then library is very loud and filled with wannabe rowdy students.
No parking space for students , Students who bring their two wheelers have to park outside the college gate,Which is risky for them.
No facilities, poor infrastructure, The college has no proper canteen ,computer labs are a total mess with broken seats old pcs and too much congestion,The new college building construction was completed in 2017 but it still hasn't opened.

Nothing really influenced me to take this course it was just my personal interest in mathematics, There are Value addition courses, Skill enhancment courses under nep2020 for Delhi University although the classes for these courses get canceled frequently or syllabus gets rushed. These courses execution need improvement, also they are teach languages like hindi punjabi urdu which is compulsory to take not adding any value in employability of student.

An Enriching Blend of Academics, Culture, and Community: My College Experience

Likes

Teachers are experienced and knowledgeable
Friendly atmosphere in college with no feuds and inter departmental connections are easy to make and maintain which is a big plus
Green campus with lot of plants and greeneries. Also new building is gonna open soon which will be biggest in all of Delhi university colleges with all the modern and state to art facilities

Dislikes

New building of 11 floors is ready from last 2 years still not opened
Canteen is not really upto the mark , food quality not okay
Sports ground is not fit for use , although work has been going on it

I have always been a biology student so choosing zoology was normal to me , the curriculum is really wide and covers all expect especially after introduction of NEP , we generally have 3 core papers then a GE (General Elective) a SEC and a VAC with AEC. From 3rd year onwards we have 3 Core , 1 GE , 1DSE and 1 SEC course Exams morally happens after 4 months but internal goes on all through the semester . The difficulty level is okay not very tough just decent . And papers are all from what is taught. Here GE - general elective SEC - Skill enhancement course VAC - value addition course DSE - Discipline specific elective

As much as I could gather information about Zakir Husain Delhi College DU from some of my friends, everyone gives almost similar responses and reviews about the college.

In terms of infrastructure, the college has a chance to compete with the prestigious and leading colleges out there. The campus includes Wi-Fi, a magnificent green space, inspiring classrooms, elevators for those with disabilities, a canteen with an affordable menu, a mother dairy, and practice-friendly labs.

The professors are incredibly helpful for both personal and professional matters.

In today’s world, online education may be difficult, but they have adapted successfully. They are also excellent with offline material. The courses cover everything in detail and prepare students to take on real-world issues in the workplace. Exams during the semester are neither very difficult nor difficult. Students can pass with ease if they are properly prepared and have studied.
