Course Details

BCC offers 2 years full-time Postgraduate M.Sc. in 10 specializations, M.A, MSW, M.Com, M.Ed., courses. For M.Sc. Biotechnology course entry requirements, candidates have to pass B.Sc. with 50% of marks in all the three optional individually, Chemistry or Biochemistry is compulsory.

Those who have completed their Bachelor’s degree with 40% in aggregate of all subjects and 50% marks in the cognate subject in the qualifying examinations are eligible for MA English course. For MSW course entry requirements, candidates have to pass Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree with 50% of marks from a recognized university.

Applicants with B.Com or B.B.M degree examinations, securing not less than 50% marks in the Commerce Subjects of Business Education from a recognized university are eligible for M.Com course. For M.Ed. course eligibility, they have to complete Bachelor’s degree in Education with 50% of marks from a recognized university (45% of marks for SC/ST and PH students).

For seeking admissions in all postgraduate courses, students have to obtain merit-list prepared by the Bangalore University and Management.

	Biochemistry	40% of marks in aggregate and studied chemistry or Biochemistry securing 50% of marks in this subject at the B.Sc. level and Studied Biology.
	Chemistry(Organic)	40% of marks in aggregate and studied chemistry securing 50% of marks in this subject at the B.Sc. level and Studied Mathematics.
	Computer Science	B.Sc. in Computer Science or BCA with Mathematics as one of the subjects and at least of 50% marks of all optional subjects from a recognized university.
	Physics	B.Sc. degree with Physics and Mathematics as any two optional subjects with 40% marks in aggregate in all the subjects and 50% of marks in physics from a recognized university.
	Mathematics	Bachelor’s degree with 40% marks in other subjects and 50% marks in cognate subject from a recognized university.
	Electronics	B.Sc. degree with Physics, Mathematics and Electronics, Computer Science with at-least of 50% marks from a recognized university.
	Analytical Chemistry	40% of marks in aggregate and studied chemistry securing 50% of marks in this subject at the B.Sc. level and Studied Mathematics.
	Communication	Bachelor’s degree in any Discipline with 50% of marks from a recognized university.
MA	English	Bachelor’s degree with 40% in aggregate of all subjects and 50% marks in the cognate subject in the qualifying examinations.
MSW	-	Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree with 50% of marks from a recognized university.

Key points for Post Graduate courses admission:

Candidates with B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com, degree with 55% of marks in the language concerned are also eligible for MA English course.
Those with B.Sc. PCM or PG diploma in computer science are also eligible for M.Sc. Computer Science course.
