St. Bede’s College is certainly one of the oldest and most renowned colleges in this country. Basically now a women’s college, it was set up as a teacher’s training institute by the Religious of Jesus and Mary. One can distinguish this college from the fact that it is the only college in Himachal Pradesh to have received an A accreditation by UGC and NAAC. The college has earned lot of appreciation and accomplishments. It has indeed emerged out as one of the favorite institutions when it comes to pursuing higher education (for girls).Courses offered in the college are Undergraduate programmes in Science and Arts. B.A. Pass course, B.A. Honors’ courses in Economics, English and Geography, B.Com, B.B.A, B.C.A and B.Sc. Honors’ in Microbiology and Biotechnology are undergraduate degrees offered by this college.

Point, the faculty members are really good, especially the department of English teachers are the best, they make the class activities intresting, by making them a safe interactive environment, plus the college is ragging free, and a very safe enviro
Things I like about my college are, it's exterior, College building is century old and was made my Britishers, so has a beautiful building where one can sit and feel like a poet, while enjoying the scenery of Shimla, beautiful city in Himachal Prades

Dislikes

There are not misch thing's to hate in this college, apart from when there are harsh winters

Admission:

I choose this college first, because of the city Shimla situated in Himachal Pradesh, it's the most beautiful and calm city, and if one pair it with literature, and studies literature in a place like this, it just becomes magic. Secondly, the teaching staff is really good, they are ever ready to help, their students no matter what, and they really hold good quality.

The notices related to sports day and other special events never get circulated properly
There are no interaction between different departments

Actually at first I wanted to apply for a Law university but my CLAT score wasn't high enough to get me in a nice govt college so instead of dropping a year I applied for commerce and B.A and of course nobody suggested anything to me ,had no idea fine arts was a thing ,So I got selected in 2 colleges from Chandigarh and two from Shimla, but in Chandigarh I applied for B.A and in shimla I apllied for B.com and St.bedes was a well reputed college so I chosed it.

Admission process was on online we do not have to go to the college again and again it was all online we have to first will admission form for 1000 rupees then we have to go to the college and pay the rest of the fees that was how the admission process begin then we have to go for a counselling session

My college is well disciplined and well maintained different protocols are to be followed there properly.
I like the overall college and the education is the best out there rules and decoram is to be followed properly.
I like the structure of the college and the overall college was very nice

Dislikes

Washrooms are not cleaned properly and are smelly kind off
Different activities are not followed properly they are to be followed properly

Admission:

So the admission process is online Firstly you've to wait for the forms to be out in the website of st.bedes which is available in Google or safari. After the forms are out you need to fill the form and wait for the merit list for the different courses. After the merit list is out the student is selected and asked to take all the documents to sister after the admission.

Admission:

As I said it's a private college so it doesn't offer any entrance exam but ya we have cut offs on the basis of how many number of admissions are coming in the college. So when I applied the cut off was 89% . Which is not much as I said it's fee structure is quite high so their are not many admissions coming in our college.

Nice college for girls if you live in Shimla

The student council is very organised and helps to take our queries as well as problems directly to the principal office
The campus is covered with evergreen trees of devdar and cedar which give refreshing and peaceful vibe

Dislikes

The college is confined to certain rules and regulations which one may find controlling

Admission:

For being eligible for this course you must have studied mathematics in your 11th and 12 th class and you should have passed your 12th with 50% or more. The college is only for girls. Application form is available online from the months of May to July . The online portal has made admissions much easier

Dislikes

The management can be a little rigid sometimes and implement strict rules
The maangement should be more considerate towards students needs

Admission:

The admission process was easy and smooth. The application forms were available online on the site of the college and it was easy to locate the form and application. The exams are conducted timely and the results are shared and discussed on time. I didn't find any problem in the admission process and I was satisfied with it.

There were merit list for few courses but one can get admission easily it's not that hard to get admission. The admission process happens in auditorium hall. There is proper booth for every course and you can interact with teachers there and they guide each and everything. Even they will suggest what course you should opt for.

Eligibility for the college is get good grades in +2 and clear the entrance exam College Infrastructure The college infrastructure was old and big campus area. The necessary facilities was available for students. Classrooms were in average condition. Campus was well maintained and clean. The living space was good and canteen food was hygienic. Academics I have done my bachelors from this university. The quality of teaching was good and mostly students were on average skills. Teachers was supportive. Curriculum was updated and all the recent developments in the field . Campus Life These college campus life is better with best features of education facilities.Most of the students are engaged in college activities. Anything Else College infrastructure facilities is very good and better Placements opportunities with great teaching skills.

Admission to the courses is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. The cut-off list will be published by the college. It mainly offers UG and PG programs. At the UG level, it offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, and BCA. At the PG level, it offers MA, M.Com, and M.Sc. programs. The website of the university has an online application form which has to be filled

You can get admission to the Bachelors of Science (B.Sc) on the basis of scores of the last qualifying examination. The registration process for the course has started for the 2022 – 2-25 academic session and the last date to apply for the course is 20^th July, 2022.
