St Bede’s college in Shimla was set up in 1904 as a teacher training institute for Christian girls. After India got independence, St Bede’s college was opened up for students from other faiths as well. A new block was subsequently built by the college to have more classrooms and a library. Now, it is NAAC A+ accredited.

It mainly offers UG and PG programs. At UG level, it offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, and BCA. At PG level, it offers MA, M.Com, and M.Sc. program.

To enroll for any of the UG courses, the basic eligibility is to pass 12th board exams.
The age limit for students applying in the general category is 22 and students applying in schedule tribe and scheduled caste is 25 years.

Admission:

I choose this college first, because of the city Shimla situated in Himachal Pradesh, it's the most beautiful and calm city, and if one pair it with literature, and studies literature in a place like this, it just becomes magic. Secondly, the teaching staff is really good, they are ever ready to help, their students no matter what, and they really hold good quality.

Admission:

Actually at first I wanted to apply for a Law university but my CLAT score wasn't high enough to get me in a nice govt college so instead of dropping a year I applied for commerce and B.A and of course nobody suggested anything to me ,had no idea fine arts was a thing ,So I got selected in 2 colleges from Chandigarh and two from Shimla, but in Chandigarh I applied for B.A and in shimla I apllied for B.com and St.bedes was a well reputed college so I chosed it.

Admission process was on online we do not have to go to the college again and again it was all online we have to first will admission form for 1000 rupees then we have to go to the college and pay the rest of the fees that was how the admission process begin then we have to go for a counselling session

So the admission process is online Firstly you've to wait for the forms to be out in the website of st.bedes which is available in Google or safari. After the forms are out you need to fill the form and wait for the merit list for the different courses. After the merit list is out the student is selected and asked to take all the documents to sister after the admission.

Admission:

As I said it's a private college so it doesn't offer any entrance exam but ya we have cut offs on the basis of how many number of admissions are coming in the college. So when I applied the cut off was 89% . Which is not much as I said it's fee structure is quite high so their are not many admissions coming in our college.

Nice college for girls if you live in Shimla

Admission:

For being eligible for this course you must have studied mathematics in your 11th and 12 th class and you should have passed your 12th with 50% or more. The college is only for girls. Application form is available online from the months of May to July . The online portal has made admissions much easier

St. Bede's and the real College experience

Admission:

The admission process was easy and smooth. The application forms were available online on the site of the college and it was easy to locate the form and application. There were merit list for few courses but one can get admission easily it's not that hard to get admission. The admission process happens in auditorium hall. There is proper booth for every course and you can interact with teachers there and they guide each and everything. Even they will suggest what course you should opt for.

Eligibility for the college is get good grades in +2 and clear the entrance exam College Infrastructure The college infrastructure was old and big campus area. The necessary facilities was available for students. Classrooms were in average condition. Campus was well maintained and clean. The living space was good and canteen food was hygienic. Academics I have done my bachelors from this university. The quality of teaching was good and mostly students were on average skills. Teachers was supportive. Curriculum was updated and all the recent developments in the field . Campus Life These college campus life is better with best features of education facilities.Most of the students are engaged in college activities. Anything Else College infrastructure facilities is very good and better Placements opportunities with great teaching skills.
