- Avesh is our major tech festival and aayam is our sports festival .
- Fees - only 82400/- is the total institute fees for 4 year of b.tech which is really really less . only male and general have to play that . it is close to free of girl students
- You can easily get scholarship by chhattisgarh or nsp as per your convenience .
Dislikes
- Campus buildings are big and no lift so it was bad.
- There is no theatre group in the college, it very disappointing for me
- The theoretical part is good but practical knowledge is bad.

As I have been told, students become eligible for campus placements when they reach the 6th semester i.e. 3rd year of their engineering life. I will probably be applying for the GATE exam in order to do higher studies.

- Few of the companies that visited the campus are TCS, IBM, Doubtnut, Oracle, Pie Infocomm, etc.,

You will never get the full details and correct stats from any college about their campus placement. All you will know is from your seniors. And what I heard is that from now on good campus placement have started.
Still, not more than 10% can get satisfied campus placements. But not to worry because nowadays we have opportunities to get placements.

Positive - Civil & mechanical branches have got accreditation from National Bureau Accreditation. Negative - As this college is 55 years old infrastructures are not upto the mark. Few machines are not working due to long time.

It's a good infrastructure and good facility government engineering college in raipur and may be the best in Chhattisgarh and the labs the full equipped Teachers are the best in their class as this is a government institution. Library is good enough and it also has a great auditorium.

Admission:
I have got admission in GEC thourough my rank in cgpet.we have to fill the form with details for getting admission in this college. You have to give preference to the one of the branches in which you want to take admission. There are 5 rounds of counseling. Actually 3 rounds are there but in case there are vacant. Sheet then the college wants to fill that so there are further 2 spot round for that.

Remarks:
positive point is it's fee structure and infrastructure.
Negative point of here is faculty which is contract based recruitment. They are not well educated and also not well trained and they have zero experience in teaching.
