Likes

Infrastructure of our college is impressive
A lot of Plantation is there which enhance the environment
frequent cultural events are organized and most the festivals are celebrated

Dislikes

unexpected and irrelevant scheduling of exams
Important messages such as holidays and other official news are not circulated on time
Political rivalry is increasing as the government switched

Admission:

No I did not get rejected from any other colleges, as I had a good rank in my entrance exams. admission in the college is in 3 steps .1st we apply for the colleges in the online portal Then afterwards we have to go to a nearby document verification centre nearby and after everything in done on the basis of our rank, the colleges are allotted and we have to go there and take admission

Insight of GEC Raipur

Likes

College provide sports activities, teachers were good.
Infrastructure is also good , they host many events as well.
College has huge library, which is best point

Dislikes

Labs are not good enough , instruments are broken
FC labs computer not in working condition
75% attendance is not helping students it's burden to them

Admission:

I didn't apply for other colleges because this is best engineering College of my state after nit and IIT Admission process was simple after getting allotment letter we have to reach college on the day of admission and take admission form fill the details submit your fees and it's done.

The infrastructure are very good and beautiful
Professor and other staffs are very humble
All the teachers are well qualified and most of them are iitians and nitians

Admission:

I applied for many nits but I didn't get cs branch so I decided to get addmission in this . This college accept jee mains score and cgpet scire for getting addmission into this you should have a very good score in competitive exams

Likes

Government engineering College Raipur. The college provides good campus. There is also present sports facilities and sports teacher.
Government engineering College Raipur. The college is also provides hostel for students.
Government engineering College Raipur. The college provides quality of education. All faculty members are good.

Dislikes

The theoretical part is good but practical knowledge is bad.
Campus buildings are big and no lift so it was bad.

Admission:

The Chhattisgarh Government conduct pre engineering test exam. Who will crack the exam he is addmission in college. Addmission process is simple. Result is coming and you are selected and then you councelling online.

I really like the behavior of the faculties of GECR.
NSS Unit Of GECR is very active compare then other technical college.
GECR Liberary is very comfortable for students.

Dislikes

Being a technical institute the practical facilities should be batter which is not tha case

* Required Competition Exam for admission in GEC - CGPET ( Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test). It's application is available in cgdte website. * Fir Admission In this Engineering College CG DTE organised the councelling rounds.

The college is located in a very peaceful environment which makes it easier to study and focus. The college campus is good and spacious which is very good. There is a lot of greenery in the campus which feels good and close to nature and feels relax
The students in the campus are good and the seniors in the campus are supportive and are ready to help in any matter. Teachers are supportive and the teaching is also very good. The college provides emimmense opportunities in various fields.
There are various activities which make students indulge in some kind of work which helps them to explore their interests and help in their growth. There are a lot of sports activities in the college which make students physically active and strong.

Dislikes

The canteen food in the college is not so good according to the price. The grounds of the college are not so well developed. There are no fests in the college so the students lack of their exposure.
The college does not have proper lighting so many outsiders sometimes comes inside the college. The pass out students from these college doesn't provide alumni network.
The placement from this college is not that much good. There are very less companies that approach this college which makes students wory about their future.

Admission:

Fir the addmission the student must have to pass the class twelve from the maths background. The minimum percentage required in twelth for addmission in this college is sixty percent for general and forty percent for reservation categories. Then the student has to give the cg pet examination and secure a good marks for this college as the cut off relatively goes high.

Likes

Professors for my branch are brilliant while teaching or in genral . Most of them are very helpfull .
Attendance : in comparison to other colleges our college is lot more lenient on Attendance
It has nice library and auditorium. And overall has decent infrastructure

Dislikes

Maintenance: college lacks Maintenance as it has everything to be a lot more enjoyable. U can see this in washrooms, classes, sport grounds or labs
Hostel: its been almost a year and we have , still not been alloted with hostel which is present in campus
In every class there is a air conditioner which is not working

Admission:

Scoring higher marks in cgpet exam , will make u eligible in all engineering colleges in Chhattisgarh . including gecr. Cgpet is comparatively very easy exam. 50-60 % students are from reserved category which is a good thing. Admission process was pretty much smoth .

Life as a 3rd Year Engineering Student at GEC Raipur

Likes

Infrastructure - as an state sponsered government college it is having really really good infrastructure
Fees - only 82400/- is the total institute fees for 4 year of B.Tech which is really really less . Only Male and general have to play that . It is close to free of girl students
Non Academic - Sports are the major part of our college.

Dislikes

Placement - Like I am an 3 year student and seeing 6-7 getting placed on campus on our college is really frustrating
Faculty - Cse and other branch also have many part-time teacher will very basic and low level of knowledge
Internship - Internship Opportunity on campus is close to 0 . But if you are skilled you can get it off campus

Admission:

You need to have 75% as general in class 12th examination . And you need to clear CG-PET by DTE chhattisgarh. Like for Cse in GecRaipur you need to get under 250 rank . Toughness is easy . As compared re to JEE Mains . You can. Get detail of the examination at Cgpet website . It happens after the Jee examination from April to may

Here's there no placement for CS students and no professional environment

Admission:

Here you can take admission through the Government exam that is CGPET after getting ranked you are eligible for the particular branch which you want to opt for. After examinations, there's a choice filling for you to choose the college you want. And after you get confirmation from the college there's the verification process. After 1st year you can change your branch on a merit basis, first, I opted for Electronics & Telecommunications later i changed it to CS.

Ground Of College Is Not Maintained And Computers Are Not In Working Condition

Admission:

The eligibility of the addmission of gec raipur is 12th pass wtih any board. An entrance exam CGPET is required for the admission in gec. CGPET application form is filled through cgvyapam website, there is no exam fees for anyone the exam fees is totally free. Further counseling is done in cgdte website There is no reservation benifit only merit base admission is available. Duration of exam is 3 hours . Campus admission process can be improved.
