Each year, we all dance together during a festival called blitz, which is pretty enjoyable.
The college has many scholarships for bright students like the apj abdul kalam scholarship for pol science students.
Good teaching faculty that helps us to engage in college activities

Dislikes

It happens sometimes that classes are cancelled and teacher does not give prior information about the cancellation of the classes that waste the time of the students that can be used for studies
No real time projects in the course- there was very less learning as they had the fixed curriculum which needs to be followed and no real time or interesting projects related to the course
The faculty member is good but not better than my expected level

In my course we are 30 students in our class and 12 girls and 18 boys
My college infrastructure is well but some old type
In my course is best for become a professor or this course high demanding in foreign

Dislikes

My class fans is too slow and old fans need to Improve
And our toilets same need to improve or better toilet is partially clean

Campus life

Likes

The faculties are quite helpful and considerate. They will guide you for your future but you should be really serious whenever you approach any professor for their guidance.
The students are very helpful, I never experienced any kind of misbehaviour
There are different societies you can take part in which are really nice specially the drama and debate society. If you are interested in social welfare you can join yuva society.

Dislikes

I didn't really enjoy the morning and evening batch thing because evening batch students were quite mischievous as compared to morning batch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good, i was always very much interested in studying history so I choose to do hons in this. This course will help you think and evaluate everything around you critically. I think teaching method is quite old which needs improvement. Rest everything is fine with the course and module until and unless you are interested to study

Satyawati College Review: what to expect

Likes

The faculty is top notch, however most of the studying has to be done by the students themselves as the syllabus is too vast to be covered via the classroom lectures only.

Dislikes

the infrastructure is extremely poor, the washrooms aren't cleaned on a regular basis and water is mostly unavailable in the new building.

The NEP 2020 curriculum has increased the workload for the professors as well as for the students. cramming up the syllabus for 7 different subjects is extremely strenuous. improvements could be done to make the syllabus less theoretical and more practical.

An average college near North campus.

Likes

I like the most about college is it's infrastructure like auditorium, library, and sports ground.
Faculty members are Highly qualified and supportive. Their teaching methods are really good.
You will get a great campus life in this college and college have many Soceties of extracurricular activities.

Dislikes

Some parts of college is not good and it need to be change
Administration of college is not so good .
There are no water in washroom and for drinking.

Satyawati - place where dreams comes true

Likes

I liked the faculty very much, they are really very experienced and supportive in every aspect.
The infrastructure of the college is also very impressive, campus is filled with greenery and there are quotes which have put everywhere for positivity.
The club's and societies of the college are the most important thing which have helped me to grow as a professional person. I met so many experienced people throughout the workshops and learnt so many things.

Dislikes

The cleanliness could be more overthere, although it's not that bad but they can improve it.

Placement Experience:

You can apply in your final year for placements, if you want to get placed easily then you should definitely join the placement cell of the college. The companies like flipkart and amazon comes to our college. Average package is 3-4 lpa.

Likes

The Exposure and Societies that help a lot.
Faculty and Even Cooperative Teachers with lot of knowledge
Canteen because its like second favorite spot.

Dislikes

Infrastructure that is improving and should be improve.
Classes Condition that is under process.
Slow Administration with lot of Backlogging.

The Course is promising in nature with all aspects and even such exposure to every corner of politics that can be seen as by faculty is teaching. Teaching Method is very cooperative and even such promising.

Life of satyawati college student

Likes

College auditorium of satyawati college is very good and large , i really like this
And secondly the ground of college is very greeny and clean
thirdly the teacher is very well and helpful

Dislikes

infrstructure of this college is not good
The food in canteen is very unhealthy , i really don't like this
And lastly not good washroom and classroom , washroom is very dirty

I opt BA (prog) courses because this helps in my future careers in civil services .Content in a comprehensive curriculum focuses on all domains of learning :social ,emotional , physical and cognitive . The exam difficulty of my paper is on an average not very easy not hard

Satyawati College - The Political backbone of Delhi University

I have liked my college deparment - Political science dept., the teachers are very friendly and helpful.
We have the biggest auditorium in the whole Delhi University, which i like the most.
The college environment in overall is very good, the seniors are very helpful and co-operating.

Dislikes

The worst thing about my college is the infrastructure, the benches are not in a good condition.
The staff of the college is not working properly, the sports facilities are not maintained properly, there's no basketball court, badminton court is not maintained properly.
Sanitation is the worst, there is not proper water in the filter, water coolers are not working.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college follows the UGC curriculum given by the government. We have in total 7 papers in the 1st semester:- DSC 1, DSC2, DSC3 (Disciplinary course) - these are the main paper of the subject Then we have to select four other papers GE AEC SEC VAC The papers are held in semester form, in 1 year we have 2 semester. Other than semester exams we have to give test, assignment and practical exams(if any). The areas for improvement in the curriculum is not needed much but there can be improvement in teaching methods because the other papers (GE, SEC VAC, AEC) are made for students to enhance skills in other fields. But the teacher's are very casual in these subjects. They do not take proper classes.

The auditorium in my college was the biggest and very nice
My college library was very good and had many kinds of books. Send feedback Side panels History Saved
My college kids were also very supportive and good.

Dislikes

My college doesn't have a basketball court
The teacher is useless, he gives the assignment anytime: even a day before
There is no good place near the college.

The course is difficult, I had difficulty in understanding it, time wasted in giving assignments during exams and this course did not bring any change in my real life, it is useless, I can just become a teacher, the teacher was nothing special either

Glance through satyawati campus life

Likes

Small campus made it a lot easier to intermingle with students from other courses hence there was diversity in friendship and learning opportunities
Ground was well maintained so sports activities were also promoted and organised with zeal and enthusiasm
Different societies availed skills apart from academic life for overall personality development

Dislikes

Staffs are not so benevolent and often office work is a tedious task
Capacity of classroom isn't at par with no of students enrolled in the batch
Never organised any fest so it really took away opportunity to learn from fest management and organisational skill

Economics hons curriculum is with the market trend and requirements. If you study econometrics whole heartedly than in the World of data science it gonna help you in bolstering your future well. It is very much relevant and important.

Satyawati was a part of the Delhi University campus before it was relocated to Ashok Vihar.

When you are admitted to one of the DU colleges, you place a high value on education. There are many amenities in college that other colleges do not have, one of which is the Largest Auditorium at DU.

It's a good college with friendly students. The seniors are helpful. There are numerous co-curricular societies to which one can belong. Ragging is prohibited at the college because of the anti-ragging policy. Except for a few, the teachers have extensive experience and training. The building's infrastructure is adequate, and the classrooms are also spacious. There is a fantastic library as well. The canteen is excellent. The ground is in good condition and is well-maintained.
