College should provide internship opportunities for arts students as well.

Likes

The very first thing to mention is about the ambience of the college. College is filled with lots of greenery . Most of the time the campus is quiet and tranquil which makes it an ideal placel to study. Teachers are also very friendly and top notch.
The institution also provides multiple opportunities to learn and grow. Every department conducts various literary as well as cultural programmes in college to make the college life more interesting. Every department conducts fests, quiz competitions
All the faculties of the college are very friendly and of high positions. The way they behave towards their students is yet another reason for the best experience we get in nehru college. More than just a teacher they are like friends to students.

Dislikes

One of the annoying thing is that the college is situated in the road side, so the classes that are facing the road side sometimes face disturbance due to continuous horning of the vehicles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Literature is something I loved since schooling. I remember going to school library and reading a lot of Shakespeare's novels and other books. I always admired world of Shakespeare. My interest in books and literature made me choose English literature. When I was searching for a good college, a lot of people suggested Nehru College which had the best faculties of English. College was a bit far from home but I decided to give it a try which was worth it. I had the best experience in nehru. The curriculum evaluation makes sure that all the objectives required for a student is fulfilled. They make sure that the students are getting the best possible way of learning. Also they give us insights about the further studies. Along with academics, the faculties make sure that they prepare us for various competitive exams like UGC NET. The only area where the literature students face stress is exams. The paper is very lengthy that students find it difficult to complete the exam on time.

Likes

Good atmosphere, Importance to studients other than cutltural and other activities.
Teachers are like friends and are in a very goid company
Library gives most of the notes we need for the studies

Dislikes

There is need for hostel for boys, Teachers in some department are lazy to teach . Most of them give the topic as seminars.
Less helping mentality from people in office works
Election process especially votes counting should be controlled.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible in the last semester for the campus placement. Companies from Banglore, Mangalore and Kerala. It's mostly suited to the commerce based students. 30-40 perfect students got placements. After getting post-graduation I plan to work
