Campus Chronicles : A Review Of Mount Carmel College

i appreciate college conducting clubs , events , and activities
They provide us placement in good industries/ companies
Access to modern technology and resources

Dislikes

some students dont like thier mentors as some mentors are actually very rude for no reason with students
Every student should be treated equally but some clubs and teachers dont see each student equivalent
ratio of boys and girls right now is girls - 70 boys - 30

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students are eligible for campus placements companies such as - Accenture, Amazon , Green Room , Swiggy , Myntra , Tesco , Ernst , IBM and many more Higgest Package Offers About Rs 7.50 Lakhs per annum and average package offers about Rs 2.95 Lakhs per annum . 70% of student get placements and my plan is to be one of them too

A brief of MCC

Likes

Campus is very homely and well maintained
The faculty is highly educated and well versed
Latest syllabus is followed and added into the curriculum

Dislikes

Washrooms are not very well maintained which could be improved

Placement Experience:

From the second year students become eligible for placements, they can sit for placements and go for internships , many get PPO as well. Around 60% of the students easily get placed every year ,the companies that come are big 4 , Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan , arcasium, etc. I personally plan onto sit for placements and get a job

Mcc, Where dreams come true

Likes

The courses the college offers are comparatively more than what other colleges offer. And it's a perfect balance between co curricular and academics.
Boys came into Mcc only this year, so boys ratio to girls might be 10:100, it is a new everyones for girls who studied in an all girls college. I think it was required.
The placements are very accurate and very seriously taken in mcc, i think they're very good at it. The staffs in mcc is very cooperative, and very well experienced.

Dislikes

The bathrooms, but i think that's very common
The behaviour of the students they're a little arrogant
The size is the college, it's quite small but doesn't really feel like it. But it is.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course was very hyped for the programmes it offered. It obviously gave such good programmes which opens door for such great placements and opportunities. The curriculum prepares us with the aim of the real world only I don't think the course needs improvement in anything. There are guest lecturers also who come to teach us. It's great. Exams are only for 2 or 3 hours it's very convenient.

A blunt review of MCC

Likes

The fests, which are very interactive and fun
There are random celebrations with music and dance prior to fests
Psychology faculty is amazing and informative

Dislikes

The administration is little off, as they will inform you everything last moment
Dress code is kinda strict and repressive
They dont give holidays to major hindu festivals like holi or bhai doojh

Placement Experience:

I dont know much about placements for psychology as i wanted to continue my studies further but there is decent placent opportunities for commerce students in mcc. Some of my friends from that department got placed.

Mcc is the best

Likes

It was a girl college, very comfortable, a very good environment
Alot of enjoyment everyday, every other day a event keeps going on
Teachers were very friendly, canteen food was very good

Dislikes

Should not have taken admission for boys
When attendance is low they don't let us write exams
Because of that our 1 year gets wasted, they need to understand

Placement Experience:

There are many different companies placements happening in mount Carmel college pcw, Accenture, dousche pvt ltd and many more, soo many of my friends got selected but students who have backlogs cannot apply

REVIEW ON MOUNTS

Likes

MCC provides with a number of associations and clubs for active participation of students
The infrastructure of the college is old yet proud. Mcc buildings are different and has shade of pink in them
MCC has a wide variety of programs going on throught the year. Major fest of MCC is known as cul -ah

Dislikes

Infrastructure being old also serves to the disadvantages of the college
Admission is provided readily for MCPUC students
Lack of sports infrastructure. The college is trying to improve the same

Placement Experience:

The commerce department of the college provides with a high number of placements to its students. Students are eligible for placements from the 4 th semester of the 2nd year. The average pack is rs 1500000 Commerce students have a higher percentage of students being placed thane other departments. Pursue ACCA

Likes

I really liked the campus of the college
I verily love the friendly environment in mcc
The canteen has good and variety of food

Dislikes

The washrooms at times are not clean and maintained
The food price is a bit high and the is kinda small but then its good
Nothing else, that is pretty much it and everything is fine

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I dont want to mention the subject but there is a subject which is not relavent to our course at all. 2)The curriculum prepares us well. 3) Our course can be more practical. 4)It gets very hectic.

Our Home/ MCC

So at my first year of college, I used to hate it soo much that I used to cry to go but now in my second year, I can’t leave this place…It’s like Home for me…
I love all the teachers in this college, they are so friendly and they teach so well and ofc they will always win your hearts…they teach us to be the best and discipline…
All the staff, the council members and the fests in this college is so fun…just love it

Dislikes

I hate my batch of students cause they are very rude and bitchy…
Not that great college facilities, the clocks don’t work, fans stop working, class smells so badly
The only thing which is actually bad in this college is that,you have to go for extra classes otherwise 3% goes down when u miss an enhancement class although you attended all the regular classes for the day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually I chose this course because I love Psychology...it's a very interesting subject,psychology studies the human mind,emotions and the behaviour of humans and animals and why they act they way they act,I don't really think there should be any further improvement cause it's all good right now.we have a good psychology teacher...The exams are not that hard but you still have to study a lot of experiments and everything...

How I survived my college days ;)

Likes

It was an all woman’s college so my parents felt a bit safe to send me there.
They had stalls or different kinds of entertainment regularly.
Unique types of courses to choose from freely

Dislikes

The faculty to treat students better in every way possible
No mercy shown to students even if they have personal reasons.
Very rude behaviour from the faculty of the college.

Placement Experience:

From the final semester the students are eligible for placements. Companies like Livespace, Bonito etc visited for placements. Average will be 15k and the highest package being 37k. Your percentage will have almost nothing to do with placements but your portfolio will play a huge roll. I have successfully started working after my degree and I hope to be a great interior designer in the future.

Mount Carmel College- come live it up in your prime years

The diversity of the college as students from all over India are here
The understanding and supportive nature of the faculty
The various extra curricular activities and associations available

The mis management during the events conducted
The number of extra classes conducted over the semester
There are several sets of exams conducted over a short period of time

Placement Experience:

The placement experience so far is good , as a number of relevant and top companies are coming on campus. The college also provides placement training for students to help them with various rounds of interviews.
