Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The relevance of ACCA in the current world influenced me to take up the course. The curriculum is well planned by the faculty and enables students to clear the exams easily The exams at MCC are moderately hard. In comparison to other colleges MCC has less number exams. MCC does not mid sem exams.

Internships Opportunities

3

The college does provide with internship opportunities. In most of the courses it is compulsory to take part in a n internship. The placement cell of the college provides with a variety of internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

3.5

The commerce department of the college provides with a high number of placements to its students. Students are eligible for placements from the 4 th semester of the 2nd year. The average pack is rs 1500000 Commerce students have a higher percentage of students being placed thane other departments. Pursue ACCA

The main fest of the college is Cul - ah. It is the cultural fest of the college and is held on January for a duration of 2days. Acadmetia is yet another fest held in MCC during the month of September The facilities in the college is adequate. College has many active clubs and associations. College offers nearly 62 associations for its students. Sports programs are moderate. The students association has provided stude ts with an opportunity to show case their talents.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The mcc hostel rooms are spacious convenient. The food here is good in comparison to food provided in pgs. The hostel provides with paid washing services. Electrical appliances other than phone chargers laptop and phones are not allowed. Hostel students are to follow the curfew of 6.30pm. Hostel is in campus

Admission

I had applied to Christ University banglore. I choose this college over christ as I felt MCC was giving more calm vibes than Christ University. The college admission is taken place through an online portal or through walk in interviews. Students of commerce background is accepted for the course. Bcom IAF has a higher cutoff in comparison to other courses.

Faculty

3

The faculty -to - student ratio is appropriate The relationship between students and faculty is moderate. Being a class of 76 , the relationship with faculty is not that strong for everyone. Whereas other courses like phycology with lesser number of students have a better relation with their faculty. The faculty is very approachable and sweet towards its students. The phycology faculty of the college is the best The college has 1 internal exam ( cia ) and one end semester exam .

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
