Students are offered internship opportunities as well as job placement opportunities via the College Placement Cell. Packages of upto 20-25 LPA have been offered to students. Students become eligible for some opportunities from second year and for some, in the third year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I don't know any about sociology before the enrollment in college.As came in college I found its very difficult because I first time study it. But as the time passes evrything is alright and sociology became easy to me when Shivani mam teaches us and Sumedha ma'am teaches us. They use very simple language to explain us .

Since I am from Arts deparemt, there were not much options and I did not sit in the placements I cannot say much about it here. Although there were seminars related to differents fellowship options such as Gandhi fellowship, Texah for India. Some people from my department got in them and they are doing fine as of now so yes there are option once your are in the campus you'll get to know about them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course because of my interest in philosophy, however the curriculum has hugely disappointed me. So I would really not recommend this course to anyone, especially not in DU. Timing of exams is very poor. Semester exams are always either in scorching heat or frigid winter.

At Miranda House we have a placement society which is in charge for placements. They run all over the students from training and finding the best suitable companies for each departments. Our branch which is English Hons, average placements have held on to 4-5 lakhs a year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Internships Opportunities:

At the latest placement cell fair, there were a great number of companies offering internships as well as placements. Keventers, Arihant Publications, iFortis Worldwide, Outlook Publishing India, Adda 247, Studify Success, and Indian Hempstore are some examples. The roles offered included project manager, associate and account manager, Teach for India fellowship, content writer, business leadership and management, etc. The stipend ranged from 3k to 20k for internships depending on the company and job profiles while for placements, the CTC ranged from 4LPA to 15LPA.

Hindi Hons students mostly get content jobs kr jobs in media houses and mostly as content writers. From Hindustan Times Group to the Times Group, many such big media houses are the ones that offers us jobs here. Average salary that our branch students get is around 35000 or so in hand.
