Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have passed the Class XII or its equivalent examination from a single recognized board.
For the purpose of ascertaining the Minimum Eligibility, the marksheet/ degree of only one board will be considered. Likes
- I liked the campus. There is greenery everywhere.
- I liked the various societies which the college offers.
Dislikes
- Some rooms don’t have fans. It is very difficult to attend the classes.
- Classes are not regular. The teachers are not punctual.
Fees and Financial Aid:
I am unreserved. I had to pay Rs. 15,460.00 for one year. For other categories, it was less. For SC/ST, 8k-9k and for OBC, 10k-12k. It depends upon from which category you belong to. It is far less than private colleges.
Likes
- My experience at Delhi University is overall good. There is a lot of diversity here. The crowd here consists of people catering to different ideologies, way of living and dialects. I have got a few good friends and the professors here are phenomenal.
- All these aspects keep me loving Miranda again and again.
Dislikes
- One thing that I disliked about Miranda was the irregularality in the deliverance of the financial assistance.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee structure for Sociology Hons. is good. It's only 14160 for the first year, then 12330 for the second year. So, the average fee is quite less. The placement cell does its level best to cater to every student with some sort of placement. Scholarships here are frequent but mostly of minimal value. Financial assistance depends upon one's department.

The fee structure is also minimal with around 15000 to 20000 for each subject and for my subjects it is 14160. The college gives scholarships to the students who are eligible for the post. The scholarship is given once a year which will look at the percentage and the background of the student. Financial assistance is also given to students once a year. The job given to students in my course is not so white spread because most of the students go for higher studies or for a professional courses. But whatever job they get it is sufficient and they are with one of the biggest companies in India.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is very well planned and includes all the topics of relevance. The curriculum included field trips which were superb. The faculty is kind, supportive and well experienced. It's hard to mention any name as everyone is absolutely amazing.
