Great placements given by the college as well as great job opportunities
Sports and extracurricular activities are wonderful over here, everyone enjoys living in the campus since the campus includes everything,seprate library,sports ground,clubs and portals are also being run over here
Tuition fees is very cheap compare to lower colleges since it is a government college which provides best education as well as best facilities to the students, scholarships are also given in great amount

Dislikes

If you looking to accomodate in college hostel then be aware of the fact that college mess is very bad.
Academics of this college is not good, studnet have to study by there own. Many teachers are not good at teaching.
hostel facilities are not that good, no good hostels.

VJTI - A very misinformed reputation

Likes

Environment to develop and space for personal growth
Good committees and fests to enlighten the mood and enjoy
Great placement opportunities including help in placements

Dislikes

Bit hard to find teachers that teach exclusively in english/hindi as marathi is prevalent
The campus infrastructure is poor and old
The hostels arent well maintained and not offered to localities

Placement Experience:

Placements are very good for circuital branches and pretty decent for core branches as well. Mech and prod usually touch 10 lpa and textile and electrical are around there usually too. But this year the placements and percentages have dropped due to recession. This year only 50 percent students got placed in production. I plan on doing mba after graduation

How is life in VJTI

Likes

The peer is really good, competitive and as well as supportive. There's a healthy competition which helps us in growing our exposure
Seniors here are extremely helpful. Be it clubs, academic, chilling or anything they are always there for you

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old and the buildings too, which kinda ruins the college life experience.

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year you should be job ready with various skills and a good cgpa. You should atleast maintain a cgpa of 7.5 to be safe. Companies like Deloitte, Wipro, Morgan Stanley and many more comes for campus placement. Highest package goes upto 40lpa for Electrical department and average is about 12-14 lpa. Placement percentage is about 90%.

All About VJTI

Likes

Campus of college is nice and enough big having 2 grounds and 1 basketball court.
Faculty of department is good but make sure you have to learn things on your own.
Placement of college is very good. TPO cell of college invites many companies fir each core branch.

Dislikes

College offers a hectic schedule for students
You have extra subjects in each sem which are only lab oriented but you also have to learn their theory

Placement Experience:

Placements are very good in this college. The usp of this college is it's placement. About an avg of 90% students gets placed. Avg package of this college varies from branch to branch but for a safer side it's good. And If you are not placed through campus you can also go for off-campus placements.

Great placements given by the college as well as great job opportunities
Excellent fests superb functions held by the college
So much benifits for every student enrolled

Dislikes

Campus is too old to live in with but not a problem
Having some problems but you can face it

Placement Experience:

Those students who has performed well in their btech course get amazing placements the highest package of 2023 was around 54Lpa and the average package is more than 10lpa and the students get placed has a placement rate of 90+%

Experience of a current VJTian

Likes

There are various clubs that are run by student Comitee which helps us in personality development
Odd semester have a lot of fests which keep the stress levels low and help us enjoy
Sports Facilities are amazing with 18 acre campus in the heart of Mumbai

Dislikes

The classrooms need renovation with AC to be Mandatory per classroom
Hostels & Mess food have a lot of scope of improvement
The labs in the Electronics Department can be improved

Placement Experience:

Mostly circuital branches have about 100% placement record . Also the placements recorded are pretty high with top companies like Google, Microsoft,JP Morgan, ICICI bank, HSBC,core companies like Texas Instruments also do visit campus for placements. Highest package is mostly bagged by CS branch students which goes upto 1Cr per annum. Exact details of placements are given by VJTI TPO on their handles and even on college website transparently so one can have a glance at it.

VJTI - A kickstart to your career

Likes

Placements: Being a Mechanical Engineer, I had least expectations from the Training and Placement Office of VJTI. But there were really great companies offering packages above 8LPA. I secured Placements in Reliance Industries Limited which is great.
Hostels: Hostels are one the best thing in VJTI. We can see students from various part of the country roaming around. We are able to make new connections as well. Various festivals were celebrated exclusively for the hostelites such as Ganpati.
Clubs and Committees: There are various clubs and Committee such as Technical clubs like Technovanza, Cultural clubs like Pratibimb and Rangawardhan, Debate clubs and many more. Students participates in various competitions like BAJA, IRC, AIAA

Dislikes

The first and foremost things which I disliked during my early days at Vjti was hostel accommodation which was not available for all the students. Now this has been tackled and new hostels were built with the intention of providing accommodation.

Placement Experience:

The placements at Vjti starts from 7th semester. Placements at Vjti are really very good. The placements of CS IT students completes during the first 3 4 months of the final year. Then the core companies start which is a great thing as one can appear for IT placements as well as core placements. The average package was around 13.7 LPA while the highest package offered was 57LPA.

One of the Best colleges

Likes

I like the enviroment of college. The college is not that strict and even not that loose. You can enjoy tour college life with good studies.
So many cultural and technical events are conducted. Good for placements.
They provide best facilities of library, study space and the canteen food is so good.

Dislikes

Some of the first year faculty is not that good.
Some lab equipments are not working that good.
The area of college is too small. It's only 18 acres.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm studying Computer Engineering Course which is best and high demanded course in engineering. Other than academic knowledge and exams the college has so many communities like SRA for robotics, and COC(Community of Coders) which conducts many workshops. We also have technical events like technovanza in which other than VJTI so many colleges participate.

VJTI - A student perspective

Likes

The Collaboration culture in the college is top notch and there are ample opportunities for growth. You can visit any of the professor in the institute and he will have a project for you, provided you have the fire to get the job done
The student club in the college are an important aspect in terms of learning like manufacturing vehicles, RC Planes, etc.

Dislikes

There is no central app or e-library in the college

Placement Experience:

College has a decent placement considering the market conditions. Almost 80% of the students get placed every year and the remaining 20% are the students who apply for the masters degree. I have been placed in a company.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Everything is good and i choodee civil engineering. As I was more inclined towards design field and I'm happy to get in real world problem solving and the course curriculum is interesting to learn and teaching methods is also unique

The first thing that I like about this college are the seniors. They treat you like friend and I have never experienced ragging in this college. The campus life is great and events occure frequently so you don't get bored of attending college.
Teacher here are helpful in most of the cases and if they cannot help directly they make sure that you get answers to your questions from someone that they think might be helpful

Dislikes

I don't like the management of the college
The infrastructure of some part of college is not so great but you cannot complain as the campus is more than100 years old

Placement Experience:

Campus placement of this college is great and placement starts on e the student enters in 4th year.For campus placement a student should have a cgpa above 7.5 . Companies like Google,Amazon,morgan stanley,deloitte etc. visit the campus every year and the highest package that I know of is 64lpa and the average package of computer science is 18lpa. My plan after degree is percuing MBA and then getting into consultancy.
