If you have decided on going for an MBA nevertheless, target the top B Schools like IIM A, IIM B, IIM C, XLRI, FMS, or IIM L. Choosing MDI for MBA is recommended only if you have offers from average B Schools like new IIMs, SPJIMR, NITIE, etc. So first you need to get maximum calls from the top B Schools only then can you make a wise and informed decision.

Is MDI GURGAON a good option for an MBA executive program?

MDI Gurgaon is a great choice for an executive MBA program and is at par with other top-tier schools like IIM A, B, C, L, IIFT, FMS, XLRI, and IIT Delhi DMS. The 3-year executive MBA program for working professionals is extremely good, with the same course and faculty as that of the full-time one-year executive MBA and two-year full-time residential MBA program. It's an excellent institute and is even better than some of the newer IIMs. However, it's important to note that the fees for the 3-year executive MBA program at MDI Gurgaon have increased enormously over the last few years and are almost 10 lakhs. If you're looking for other options, IIM Lucknow's Noida campus also offers a similar 3-year executive MBA program with fees of Rs 10 lakhs, and classes are held on weekends and weekdays. The established programs especially that of XLRI are the epitome of HR programs. They cannot be compared to the new ones at any given level or parameter. Faculty: The professors of XLRI are renowned throughout the industry for their competency. They specialize in almost every domain one can think of be it Law, Competency Modeling, Compensation, or Performance Management. Peers: It’s the cream students who get the opportunity to get into a prestigious college like XLRI. You can see tough competition between the finest students at college. Every individual has a valuable opinion and stands to contradict others. Their thinking pattern is broad and given a case study, they look at all angles from accounting to finance to laws while proposing the solution. The situation at TISS is also quite similar. Now one can say that the curriculum can be replicated and learned faculty can be sought to match the quality of the HR program at these institutes. I asked a friend about the time it took him to pay back the loan he had taken to pursue PGDM at MDI Gurgaon. An estimate revealed 5-7 years. However this is subject to change as not everyone receives the same package. Currently, MDI Gurgaon PGDM fees is ?23.47 Lakhs. On comparing this with the average package INR 26.65 LPA, we can say that the fees can be easily paid within 5 years time considering the interest and additional expenses. But tell me is getting an equivalent package the only way to recover the fees. Is it not recovered through the knowledge you have gained, the various experiences and the gateway to success. One can never repay back the fees in reality.

All About MDI

The canteen, college life, sharma ji and jha ji parathe, alot of events.
Fests, college events, professors, the instructure is also beautiful

1.5 hours of class because the attention span is very less for humans
Too much construction is being done right now spoiling the scenic beauty

I think the course curriculum at MDI is quite extensive and useful although a lot of emphasis on grades are not given. But alot of knowledge is imparted and that is something that helps in getting the practical knowledge instead of just theoretical. MDI has some really good courses and some faculties are also fun and very knowledgeable. The classes are of 1.5 hours and the duration of exams depends upon different subjects same is with the difficulty level of exam. One thing that can be improved is the timing of classes should be reduced a little so as to not distract students. Because 1.5 hours attention span is difficult

THE MDIM SAGA

The brand name MDI stands for the college itself
The fee structure here is very minimal as compared to the same tier colleges

The location here is the biggest issue which I have faced
As the college is only 10 years old the alumni base is not that strong

For my decision to choose this course will be that I consult with senior and they suggest me to that the course that offered in MDI Murshidabad .And yes most of the teaching will be on practical learning so that helps to apply that learning in real world.if I suggest most of it are good but one or two points will be there that have to improve is that is Managerial communication subject would be online in our session so it will be offline so that put more value . Yes so we are in MBA. So it will be always hectic and we have to give two exams every day so and most of the exam would be on case study based.

Is MDIM Worth the Hype? A No-Nonsense Review

Placement process, Placement culture are the two major backbone for this college.
Course curriculum and it's relevance with the industry.

Location is a major factor for me in the initial times but when we explored the place this place has a lot of potentials in terms of sustainable industries.
More in depth knowledge about domain specific subjects for those who have more interest.

Before answering this question let me tell one basic thing why people do MBA or PGDM courses like professional career course. A major section of people pursue an MBA or PGDM because of getting a job. Straight and simple. Now whether MDIM's course curriculum is apt for placement and industry standard or not. Answer is YES. Here it is more practical than theory-based learning. The entire course of each term is distributed so well that at the end of term 3 you will ready for your internship journey. Activity-based learning and practical approach are the best thing in the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness.

The curriculum of the properly aligned faculty teaches us with real-world examples. The class exercises are based on real-life cases help to understand better about the courses. According to me, there is no such problem in teaching methods and course alignment.

Faculties are very helpful. You can even ask your doubts while they are having their walk in the campus.
Security and environment of the campus is nice.

Wifi doesn't work properly due to some mishapened last month
We didn't get subscription for any software like Microsoft 365,spss .

I would rate 4.5 out of 5 our course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. It includes all aspects of practical learning with case study discussion in the classes that helps us to be ready for the real world scenario. The area that needs some improvement are IT infrastructure more softwares can be utilised to be more efficient in tecahing and AI courses should also be introduced. There are three semesters per year and for per semester there is two exams whose difficulty level is decent if you focuses in the class you will score good marks.

A sea of opportunities MDI Gurgaon

I liked the curriculum of my program. Also the hostel are decent.
Many big brands come to campus for final placement.

The life is very fast here you can't get into depth of a subjects here.
Attendance policy is very strict. Below 80% attendance in class students get grade docks

I always had a passion for understanding business and data. Since more and more data is generated every moment, I want to develop skills through which i can drive business decision making through use of data. This was the reason i preffered MBA in business analytics.The faculty to student ratio is 1:20. The exam are application based and easy to pass
