Saveetha Dental College, a constituent college of Saveetha University invites applications for a four years Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course with one year of internship for the academic year. BDS degree from Saveetha University gives license to practice as a dentist in India, Sri-Lanka, Malaysia, Nepal and Singapore. This degree is also accepted for post-graduation in various countries like Canada, USA, Australia, etc.
Saveetha University MBBS Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility
- Candidate must have completed two years intermediate, HSC or equivalent examination with core subjects like English, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology from a recognized institute or Indian University or Pre- University.
- Candidate must have not less than 70% aggregate of marks in the subjects of Chemistry, Physics, and Biology in the qualifying exam or competitive examination hosted on similar lines as the qualifying examination by a competent body.
- Candidate must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or should acquire this age on 31st December of the year of admission.
- Candidate must be medically fit.
Saveetha University MBBS Selection Process
Candidates are selected on the basis of the Entrance Exam conducted by the University. The Entrance Exam will comprise of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs).
The duration of this exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes. Questions will be asked from Physics (40 questions), Chemistry (40 questions), Biology (20 questions) and Analytical Reasoning (50 questions) based on Plus two (State Board) and CBSE syllabus. All questions will carry one mark.
There is no negative marking.
The exam is held only at the following centres: Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad and New Delhi.

Candidates can obtain the Application form in 3 ways:
- In person, by paying through a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000 taken in favour of “Saveetha University”, payable at Chennai
- By post, by sending a requisition letter and a Demand Draft for Rs. 1050 taken in favour of “Saveetha University”, payable at Chennai
- By applying online
How to apply Online
- Candidates can download the Application form from the website http://www.saveetha.com/.
- Fill in the Application form with the required details. The application form should be filled in block letters in your own handwriting using blue/black ball pen. Affix a recent passport size photograph in the spaces provided in the application form.
- Candidates must attach a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000 taken in favour of “Saveetha University”, payable at Chennai
- Candidates must send the final Application Form along with the necessary enclosures to the following address:
