Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship popularly known as XIME Bangalore is a private Institute established in 1991 in Bangalore. It is accredited with an A++ Grade by NAAC and is approved by AICTE. The College has been ranked 36th by IIRF , and 21th by OUTLOOK under the management category in 2025. It offers various regular and certification courses at PG & Doctoral levels in the disciplines of management, with PGDM being the flagship program of the Institute.

It offers PGDM in 7 different specializations. For admission to the PGDM program, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects (45% for SC/ST candidates), and also need to appear for XAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ GMAT, followed by a Group Discussion & Personal Interview. XIME Bangalore offers admission to its various programs based on national-level entrance examinations. The institute accepts XAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ GMAT scores for admission to its PGDM programs, followed by Group Discussion & Personal Interview.XIME Bangalore Admission to various programs are as follows-

PGDM is the most popular program offered at XIME Bangalore. For admission to the PGDM program, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects (45% for SC/ST candidates), and also need to appear for XAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ GMAT, followed by a Group Discussion & Personal Interview.

Hostels facilities are well maintained, and hygiene factor is taken very seriously
The college has different clubs like Entrepreneurship Club, Marketing Club and so on where students can get engaged with different field related activities.

Dislikes

Entry & Exit post 9 pm in prohibited to maintain safety concerns.
College is near the traffic signal so lot of traffic disturbances which can be ignored.
No Cricket ground for students to play cricket.

My overall experience in campus was awesome, we have lot of events and fests happening in ca,pus such as XIMERA, Winter Fests, Alumni Meet, International Conclave, B-Plan Competition, Launchpad Challenges, Case Competitions, etc,. We have various clubs in our campus who conduct different club related activities. The best club is Empresario Club i.e the Entrepreneurship Club of XIME Bangalore who is responsible to connect young entrepreneurs with industry experts to kick-start their own startup ideas.

Total fees of the course and exam being considered for admission in the college

The fees is reasonable as compared to the benefits they provide like Student Exchange, Internship Opportunities and Placements. The fees can be paid in 6 installaments i.e 2 lakhs each. During the time of admission we have to pay 2 lakhs and the rest with the semesters. There is no management quota , you have to be appear for any of the entrance tests i.e XAT, CAT, CMAT, MAT top be eligible for this college.

I would like to rate the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness as 9 out of 10 with the smart teaching techniques. We also have industry visits and external / guest speaker sessions conducted in between the curriculum so that we have a proper balance between the subjective knowledge and industry experiences.

Hotel facility is descent here and hygiene factor is maintained all across the mess and hostels. The meal quality and menu is versatile and good. The area where XIME is located is affordable as we have plenty of girls and boys pg, hotels for families available,

Students view on faculties and examination pattern followed in college

The faculty members are knowleagble and are well-versed with the course structure. We have permanent faculties as well as visiting faculties in outr college who are from IIMs and XLRI. Some faculties are the go-to student facukties such as Dr, Mahesh Sir, Professor Anil Philip Sir and Mr. Subbu Sir are very friendly and approachable. There are total 6 semesters . We also have mid- term exams before our end-term exams so that we are well-prepared with the course and are confident before writing the final exams.

Competitive advantage of this college over other similar college

I have selected XIME Bangalore as compared to other colleges because it is located right in the Electronic City in Bangalore and is surrounded with different IT companies such as Siemens, Tech Mahindra, Tata Power, Verifone,TCS, etc. Hence the companies usually tend to visit the campus for the placements. I was selected by other colleges by choose to come top XIME because of the Brand name of Xaviers.

Night Life

We have gym facilities both for boys as well as girls, library and parks near by. The nighltlife is descent we have snack shops, refrements shops near by, The hostel timing are that you have to be in campus by 9 pm for all.

B-School of great choice in Bangalore

Likes

The students also get to work on a tight schedule throughout their MBA which is a great thing, there will always be something to keep us occupied like events, competitions and sessions which gives real world exposure to students
The college is usually focused on creating a transformative experience for the students. The students here get exposed to practical knowledge more than just theoretical knowledge in classes.

Dislikes

The college is strict in most of the aspects as they maintain high discipline all the time

Admission:

I had applied for other colleges like Christ university in bangalore and some other colleges like SIBM pune, bangalore and so on. I got admission from Christ university, Bannerghatta campus since I had applied for the business analytics stream in MBA. The feedback I got for the Christ university was similar to XIME in terms of the package and the return of investment and other things. But one drawback which I felt was that, most of the students whom I spoke to in Christ university, mentioned that the professors are too strict and that they treat the students like UG students or school students. So I felt that the exposure won't be good in such a strict place, so decided to go for XIME. In XIME the feedback I got was good because the locality here is too good in the centre of electronic city and also it's a proper Bschool focusing only on the MBA students. The total strength in the college is only 600 compared to universities with 1000s of students. So XIME is more focused. I would like to suggest that as pgdm course gets up to date , it's better to update the syllabus up to date . Scholarships are provided at the end of semesters.

The institution does not give due consideration to improving its overall placement record.
The location of all three XIME campuses is unfavorable for good student life. They are located on the outskirts where it is quite difficult to access some form of entertainment during weekends.
The mess food is below average, especially that in the girl’s hostel. There are common washrooms that are not cleaned regularly. The hostel rooms are small with each room shared by 3 people.
Students mostly end up going for marketing jobs in the end.
There is a lack of playgrounds and extracurricular activities.

Thus, XIME Bangalore has some issues that need to be resolved and the institution should not be your first priority.

Candidates must have a Graduate degree in any discipline with 50% marks (45% marks Reserved Categories). The candidates waiting for their final year results are also eligible to apply. However, the student must maintain 50% marks in the degree course. Such candidates need to complete their degree examinations before July of admission year and are required to produce proof of passing the Degree examination with the minimum required marks of 50%, latest by September of admission year. Applicants who have any un-cleared backlog in graduation at the time of application are not eligible. Final selection for PGDM in XIME Bangalore will be on the overall assessment of candidates in Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Academic Background, Extra-curricular, and Diversity. The weights of various criteria are: Academic Performance- 13%, Entrance Exam Score- 35%, Group Discussion & Personal Interview- 40%, Sports, Extra-Curricular Activities, Academic Diversity and Gender Diversity- 12%. The first year fee is INR 6.50 Lakhs, and the second year fee will be INR 6 lakhs.
