If you want great social life and good future opportunites, go for Hansraj College

Likes

The college environment was great. There were events happening almost every day.
Plenty of options for food and entertainment in and around the campus.
We got new labs with great infrastructure which really helped in the learning experience.

Dislikes

The administration was very reluctant to approve events and provide space to conduct them.
The canteen was closed for a long time which meant that students were not able to access affordable food.
Some faculty members were not upto the mark and classes were boring.

Placement Experience:

Placements start from the 5th Semester and you can apply for them till one year after your graduation. A lot of companies belonging to different tiers visited the campus for placements and made a good number of offers. Students who were serious about getting placements got at least one offer. Highest package was 21 LPA offered by DE Shaw. Average was around 5-6 LPA.

Review of Hansraj college DU

Likes

Faculty of each department is really very good and supporting.
Campus is very beautiful. Its very clean and well managed.
There are many societies. You can join any of them according to your interest.

Dislikes

Every thing in college is very good,But it is to be very crowded.

Placement Experience:

College has its own placement cell. Highest package is 36.50 lpa with an average of 7.6 lpa. Many companies like HCL, Deloittr, PwC, accenture,and KPMG visit it. College also has a internship cell which provides hands on experience in their field.

Campus tour of Hansraj without going in campus

Likes

College gives good Exposure to the students
College environment is very safe as compared to rest of Delhi
Food facilities inside campus are very good .there are AC in each and every class room

Dislikes

Hostel is very small especially girls hostel

Course Curriculum Overview:

I found course design to be very interesting. In bachelor degree they are trying to give students as much diverse knowledge as they can in the specific field. Apart from this I really liked the addition of environmental studies in curriculum as this subject is very important to all of us no matter which you are in which field

Clear Your Myths about HRC.

The faculty of the Hansraj College is great. They are all assistant professors or professors with Ph.D Degree. They are highly educated and experienced. Always demonstrates the concepts with real life example henceforth making the learning easier.
It has made significant and unparalleled contributions in terms of producing scholars, bureaucrats, intellectuals, and sportsperson serving in different domains not only in our own country but even at international levels.
They students studying there are all scholars with percentage more than 90 in their 12 th boards which make the environment in the Hansraj College, competative. Apart from these HRC also provides NCC and NSS which helps in overall holistic growth.

Dislikes

Hansraj College doesn't enough give freedom. Expects students to follow their guidelines. Due to which the development seems forced not self desired. Attendance system in HRC stops students growth in the field they want to choose in their life
Popular for its loud politics which won't be the case in the coming years, just learn anything bad from the rowdy seniors. Though there is no Ragging in the college but it has it's own boys hostel which is famous for its ragging system.
It's doesn't organise much of cultural and NCC events due to money related issues although they have their funds in student union.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course in Hansraj College is only course which is private and one of the toughest amongst all the courses that the college offers to students . BSC Computer science Hons is bit difficult yet much interesting. We used to learn software engineer, Database Management System, DSA , Computer Networks , Artificial intelligence, machine learning . Every class is held frequently during a week . Equal weightage is given to all the subjects we used to learn. The course is not updated and needs to be updated according to the current situation.

The professors at Hansraj College are highly accomplished, which contributes to its high ranking. They are renowned for their exceptional scholarship, commitment, and talent for motivating students.
The placement office at Hansraj College is exceptional, attracting prestigious companies like Deloitte and BCG for recruitment. Job offers total over 540, with the highest compensation reaching INR 36.5 lakhs per annum.

Dislikes

Some students think that the facilities at Hansraj College do not provide enough hostel accommodation and wish for more up-to-date conveniences in certain places to improve the experience.
Students point out that Hansraj College has a limited campus space and sometimes problems with the canteen, which can take away from the general enjoyment of attending the college.
Though Hansraj College provides excellent placement opportunities, its remote location away from the metro and inconvenient class scheduling can make things difficult for students.

75 years of Hansraj

Likes

The first thing i like the college is faculty and infrastructure
Also the college library is well furnished and structured and having various books
Also the canteen and lp area is of great importance to the college

Dislikes

The thing i disliked is the extra burden on students
Also the boundations of administration over various issue
And the limited library hours also disappoints me

Placement Experience:

Students became eligible for placements from 6th semester and campus offer placements in esteemed companies. Companies like Google,technoz etc visit offering avg of 5-8lacs packages. And the selection rate is also good enough to be considered. After getting degree I will plan for foreign studies .

Likes

Campus is good,cafes and canteen food is also very good.
My friends,they are amazing, they helped me a lot
College societies are full of supporters to your hiden talents

Dislikes

Principal Mam,like she is so strict,she can't let even organise many society to fest.
There are so few events happen there, and so many restrictions by principal Mam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this course because I had decided that either I will pursue btech from any private college or will study computer Science from du. The student ratio is normal like in my batch there are 90 students and I think it's okay because to enjoy our college life we need people to share our happiness. In this course we can either study it for 4 years to get major degree or can only get 3 year normal degree, when we studied for 3 years in that there are 6 semester, each semester goes on for 4 months including exams

Computer science at hansraj

Likes

Infrastructure is quite good as all classes are air conditioned
The labs are well equipped with latest generation computers
Have 4 outlets for food as well as one big canteen

Dislikes

The attendance is quite strict for issue of admit card
The administration is not digital as marks attendance are not uploaded online
The area around the college is not clean

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college are not good and are below average.Their are a lot less people who get campus placement which you are eligible from the 5 semester. This time from what I heard from my seniors is that one child got the highest package of 22 lakh in proper coding field while others got a 6-7 lakh per annum package

Likes

The college has a really good science campus with good professors.
The playground is above average and the canteen food is quite good.
The college has good alumnus also like Raveesh Kumar, ex-spokeperson of MEA

Dislikes

The college has a strict vegetarian food policy
It has a below average auditorium with inadequate size of the stage.
The flag that was hoisted by Sir Naveen Jindal is not there anymore. Also the entry and exit occurs only from one gate.

The course is quite hectic and is relevant for this tech-savvy era. The faculty is also quite good but often they dont take into consideration the practical aspects of computer science.The placements are average but you have to develop extra skills. ONly academic skills would not suffice
