Ques. What services are offered in HGC Gymnasium?
Ans. The gym of HGC has 45 numbers of students at present. A total of 4 teachers have joined the Gym. The gym is running smoothly under the instructor with the help of sports, physical fitness and the gym club. The available instruments in the gym are-Abdominal Bench, Fitness cycle, Treadmill, Dumbbells, Elliptical cross trainer, Jump rope, exercise ball, hand grippers, kettlebell, Full body vibration machine, Barbell, Plates, etc. The fee for students to access the gym is kept very nominal to make it student-friendly. The joining fee for the students is 300/- only, and the monthly fee is INR 250/-. And for teachers joining fee is INR 500/,- and the monthly fee is INR 500/- only.

Ques. What is the Student Mentoring Program in HGC?
Ans. HGC has developed a Student Mentoring Program in which each teaching department has a departmental coordinator to assist the teacher-mentors of the department and to ensure smooth conduct of the mentoring sessions. They remain in touch with the overall mentoring coordinator, who reports directly to the Principal of the college. Mentors conduct mentoring sessions in which they discuss both academic and non-academic matters with the Teachers. Reports of the mentoring sessions are maintained by the mentors in the given format for submission to the mentoring coordinator. Meetings on the progress of the mentoring programs initiated by the departments are regularly held, in which the departmental coordinators highlight how each department has developed ways of supporting their students and motivating them to excel in both academic and non-academic fields, and to make the best use of their time in college.
