The Bachelor in Computer Science program requires a minimum Mathematics score of above 53 for admission, which is determined through a merit list. The faculty, with 15-20 years of experience, is supportive, offering special lectures and exam assistance. Practical sessions and labs are available daily, and the library, though occasionally limited in availability, contains necessary books. The learning experience is rated average at the degree level but excellent in the junior college.
The curriculum mainly focuses on syllabus content, with limited skill development and mentorship opportunities. Fees are paid by Demand Draft in two installments, with an additional Rs 200 for breakage at year-end. First-year fees amount to 30k, covering library, examination, tuition, gymkhana, and gymnasium charges, with the total cost for the degree being approximately 100k. Scholarships, like the P.A Menon scholarship (10k-15k for eligible students without a father), are available for those in need.
Campus placements start from the 5th semester, with companies like Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, and HCL visiting. About 20 out of 40 students secured jobs, with an average package of 1.5 lacs; Wipro offered around 250,000 lacs to about 10 students. Despite these opportunities, placements are deemed average, with less than half the class placed, and limited real-world experience and internships impacting skill development. Some students consider the fees high but acknowledge the good overall fee structure and available scholarships.
Limited campus employment opportunities exist, with occasional major company interviews.
