As the college is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and approved by AICTE provide degrees for Computer Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Civil Engineering Information Technology Chemical Engineering Production Engineering Biotechnology This degress require four years in that there are eight semesters and we get degrees Affiliatated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (University of Pune). The exams are held by in college itself there they are based on insem and endsem insem is of 30 marks which include unit test assignments, attendance and presentations and endsem is of 70 marks which include 3 hours of written theory paper. Practical exam includes external viva and practical performance those practicals vary department wise. Grace Marks & Passing university rules may allow grace marks for passing/distinction in subjects under certain conditions not for everyone. The exam dates and syllabus are uploaded online on university website itself so it is easily accessible by students from different department according to their comfort. The exams difficulty level is based upon students according to their learnings. The exam level is normal. The course curriculum is also relevant to the exams.

Sinhgad college of engineering (SCOE) have good and qualified faculty for teaching. And they are good interract with students. In-sem exams are typically for 30 marks.End-sem exams are for 70 marks. A minimum of 40% is generally required to pass an exam. SCOE is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), so exams are conducted as per university guidelines. The highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive faculty members, especially those who make complex topics easier to understand and guide students effectively. The course curriculum is based on the SPPU syllabus, which is designed to be relevant to industry standards and technological advancements. Teaching methodology is really good to industry standards

In my batch around 100 students are there and faculty to student ratio is quite good so it's really good. All my current faculties are really great and helpful jn nature. Exams are held twice a semester and where the levell of the exams is moderate one can clear easily not too tough

The faculty is friendly, easy and comfortable to speak with. The faculty is well experienced and highly educated. The practical sessions are very good. The college is under SPPU and hence held exams accordingly.

SCOE at a glance

The overall faculty is good and supportive. Every teacher has knowledge of his respective subject. There are two exams through the semester, an insem and then the final endsem. The college also conducts regular unit tests.

Think twice before making decision

Dislikes

The staff availability is low because teachers are leaving for salary reason

Teacher are quite decent at teaching they help you for your query also there is semester wise exam pattern so there is insem of 30 marks and endsem of 70 marks and you have to get minimum 28 marks in endsem and overall 40 to pass subject

Sinhgad College - a life of a student

The teaching staff of my college is good which helps students to cover their doubts.

Student Snaps:

The course we select is a major key of our future. I have opted for BE in civil which I am interested in. The faculty of my college have increased my interest in the subjects. My course consists of 4 months per semester. After a month a exam is taken of marks 30. This exam is named as "Insem". It is mandatory for students to pass the exam with qualifying marks of 12. If the student fails to obtain the qualifying marks, he/she has a chance to cover the marks in next exam which is called as "Endsem". This exam is conducted after 4 months. The exam is of 70 marks out of which 28 marks are mandatory.

Sinhgad College - Pros and Cons

There are average of 1 faculty per 60 students. There are some faculties that are good by nature, they try to help students. Also there are some teachers who act totally absurd to students. They least cooperate with students, say whatever they want, act busy at the time of practical's to delay the things. There are totally 8 sem and 8 main paper exam in four years. The sem exams are quite cool as the paper are set by college and checked by college itself. However the main papers are quite difficult as these are set by Pune University and also checked by university itself. The marks are cut for no reason.
