I applied for sinhgad college of engineering and on second MIT Pune in Pune as this 2 colleges provide chemical engineering . I got selected in the first college itself as per their required eligibility criteria and so i was fitted in that criteria and got selected their. Addmission was done through CAP centrallised Admission in that after getting selected in that college we need to pay rupees one thousand to freeze the seat to take the admission in that college. I choose this college for first as its fees was less than compared to MIT. And as we got admission through CAP we get scholarship and so we get 50 percent scholarship on college fees. This is how the admission is taken in given dates by college within that two days.

I choose Sinhgad College of Engineering because, The "Sinhgad" brand is well-established in Pune. SCOE Vadgaon is often considered one of the flagship institutions of the Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES). First of all I choose Parul University for engineering in computer science but this college is so many far from my house my family is not ready to send me there. And most important I allotted Sinhgad College of Engineering through MHT CET CAP round. It means I am eligible for getting scholarships as SEBC student. This college is offer admission through MHT CET and JEE mains marks. In Tech branch have slightly high merit because of the trend of tech branch.

Student Snaps:

Admission:

Sinhgad College of engineering was not my first or second preference. In fact not my first 5 preference. I am a resident of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar which is in Maharashtra. I wanted to study in a city like Pune. Pune had many good colleges. It is difficult to figure out a good engineering college. According to me government engineering college of pune is the best college in Maharashtra. I dreamt of going to this college but I had just 75% and the passing is 95%. I had heard about Sinhgad College. I wanted to join this college. But my parents did not like the college as they had heard a lot of bad things about the college. So I had to give preference to other colleges. DY Patil, JSPM, VIIT were among my preference. Sinhgad College of engineering was my 8th preference. But as I wished I got this college as my score was average I e. 75%. And other top colleges cutoff is above 80%. Sinhgad College is the best college according to me. I have studied for 3 years in this college , now I am in final year. Sinhgad College have 8 colleges across Maharashtra which is a huge milestone. I advice new freshers to opt for Sinhgad College of engineering if you have scored below 80%. If above 80%, then colleges like JSPM, Symbiosis, MIT, DY Patil address amongst the good colleges.

Admission:

When I had to choose between Sinhgad College of Engineering and Bharati Vidyapeeth (BVP) in Pune, I believed I was making the right decision by opting for Sinhgad. At the time, Sinhgad seemed like a practical choice. Its sprawling campus and decent facilities, like hostels, libraries, and labs, made it an appealing option. Additionally, its location was more convenient for me, which influenced my decision further. I also felt that the academic and placement opportunities at Sinhgad were comparable to those of BVP, based on what I had heard. I had applied to BVP as well and even got admission there. However, I ultimately decided to go with Sinhgad, thinking it would suit my needs better. Looking back now, I regret that decision. Bharati Vidyapeeth, as I later realized, has a better academic reputation and more consistent placement records. Its structured approach to placements, along with its collaborations with industries and a strong alumni network, could have opened up more career opportunities for me. Moreover, the cultural and academic environment at BVP is more vibrant and competitive, which I feel I missed out on. What went wrong was a lack of proper research and planning. At that point, I didn’t thoroughly evaluate the colleges based on critical aspects like faculty, industry connections, and campus recruitments. Instead, I got carried away by opinions from friends and family, who emphasized Sinhgad’s infrastructure and convenience over long-term benefits. I also underestimated the importance of choosing a college with better placement opportunities, assuming that both colleges were on the same level in this regard. Based on my CET scores, I was allotted a seat in Sinhgad. After completing the document verification and paying the fees, my admission was confirmed.
