Siliguri Institute of Technology Darjeeling Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement are likely to be held in the final year of the degree ie. 8th semester. There are many companies like Wipro TCS cognizant Infosys microsoft intel and many more. The avg salary given is about 4 LPA and the highest package is 12 LPA. About 70 percent of the students get placed every year. I am myself placed in a big multinational company.

Truthfully my rank was not that much satisfying.So I chose this college because it was away from market and crowded area.Also it is beside hills so it's beautiful.There is Darjeeling 120Km away from college, Kurseong 60 km away and Sikkim 120 km away.And all the places are beautiful.Now coming to study part the faculties are pretty good.And the average placement is between 350000-400000.

College is good enough. I haven't faced any issues till now.

The college management is fair and just, and they provide help to everyone in need.

the college is good for most things. if you have no other NIT IIT option, it is not at all a bad option if you want to keep your expenses low. good food is available, the weather is really nice and lot of activities and skill building to keep you occupied and build your CV

Positive- Cool campus, green surrounded, clean, fresh, peace and proper environment to learn, Large area well equiped labs and many computers. Negative- Seniors dont interact, Whole day classes tiring, No entertainment.

Infrastructure wise the college has the best campus which is rare. The labs are well equiped and all the facilities are provided. Wifi, library, gym, games, labs etc The campus is situated in outskirts of siliguri in peaceful area covered with green vegetation and fresh air with the miracle view of the hills and mountains Hostel facility is good but its located outside campus which spoils the real engineering life

I tell about the negative remarks about my college that The college has very poor teaching styles and the teachers are biased on marks. The teachers only want to complete the courses. And the teachers are not motivate students.
