RCCIIT: from the eye of a student

Likes

The seniors are very good and cooperative
The auditorium is quite good actually compared to other engineering colleges
Some teachers are really helpful and sweet

Dislikes

Some department faculties are very annoying, disrespectful and very uncooperative
Electrical department is very bad actually dont take EE in rcciit
I wish there were more departments like BIOTECH and MECHANICAL engineering

Course Curriculum Overview:

My BTECH course is in the discipline of information technology and its like a subset of computer science and engineering there is very good faculty in CSE AND IT DEPARTMENT electrical and ece department are pretty average

Placement Experience:

The placements are good enough for IT sector. Giants like TCS, PWC are the top campus recruiters. The average salary package is 5 to 7 lpa. The highest salary package for 2023 is 20lpa. Around 80 to 90% of the students get placed every year

College life at RCC Institute of Information Technology

Likes

The college conduct direct admission without any donation.
The college is so beautiful so elegant just looking like a Wow.
The college location is very good, it is situated in Central Kolkata.

Dislikes

The college fees is very much much high.
The college management pressurized students for attendance and for low attendance fine a big amount.
The teaching style of Professor is not so good.

Placement Experience:

The college provides a decent placement. In 2023 the highest package watch 14 LPA offered by BMC. The mass recruiter of this college is Cognizant. The average placement for information technology students is four lpa.

Likes

The concept of giving free books It’s quite helpful
Concession and scholarships for needy students
Flexible attendance requirement Government, although it was only applicable for the first year and second year

Dislikes

PPT process of teaching in the class is very difficult to understand
Very events and functions of leads to cancellation of classes leading into a Rush completion of syllabus
Shortage of labs and un equipped labs is a problem

Placement Experience:

haan placement start from the seventh semester mass recruiters like TCS and Wipro are regular although some good companies like BMC Travis Scott give a package of around 11 and 12,00,000. I'm planning to do an MBA afterMy graduation

RCCIIT is good, but not best

campus clubs are a real fun in the college
the playground is big in the college and its fun
seniors are helpful. they guide u to take the right path

Dislikes

faculty members are not up to the mark.
fees structure is too big now. it may not be affordable for all
canteen food is not good. it was good before, but not now anymore

Course Curriculum Overview:

They follow the course curriculum of MAKAUT university. so search on google about makaut's curriculum and you'll know about it. there are roughly 30 to 40 faculty. and there are 150 studenta roughly in 3rd year. so it will be same for other years.

Academically very good colleges classes are taken regularly.
Attendance our college is very strict about attendance
Teachers are highly qualified and helpful

Dislikes

Campus size is very small our college doesn't have a big campus
Placement opportunities should be increased for more placement
More internship and training should be arranged

Placement Experience:

According to many sources after 6th sem students are eligible for internship and placement related activities.Many companies like TCS,Wipro, Cognizant,BMC visits our campus.The highest pakage is near about 14 lpa by bmc software and average is 4.5 lpa. Percentage of placement is 75 to 80 percentage

RCCIIT.. a nice college to build your career

There is no ragging in rcciit. If any student rags you , teachers will take strict actions.so its
The seniors are helpful. they will guide you

Dislikes

the placements are real bad. very few students are selected for job.
not all teachers but many teachers are there who dont teach well.
if there is any quarrel between u and any faculty. college will take the side of the faculty even if you are the victim .

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester the placements are said to start. But they dont.. If u r lucky u will get to sit in a placement in 3rd year. BUt only 2 to 3 ppl are selected. Rest stand there complaining. avaerage salary package is 3 lpa.

Likes

Not many thing in my case. Just some moments with friends.

Dislikes

The overall condition of college. Did not like many thing including faculty members.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our syllabus is under MAKAUT. And the syllabus is not likable in many of our cases. There are many subjects which are not necessary. Out of 10 faculty members maybe 4 are good rest 6 are average. The exams are held on time.

Maybe not the best, but still good.

Likes

I liked the faculty members. Professors are helpful and friendly.
I like the labs and the classrooms, as it is a bit better than some of the other colleges.
We also have playgrounds which are quite good and big.

Dislikes

We have a lift where students are not allowed.

From 6th Semester students are eligible for campusing. Companies like TCS, Cognizant give average package like 5LPA. While the highest is around 13-14LPA. Around 80-85% of the students who appear get placements. I want to appear for the campussing and i also have a pursue for higher studies, namely M. Tech.

Likes

The student friendly and cooperative nature of faculty and staff members I like most
The greenery and infrastructure of the college is good
The friendly and cooperative nature of the seniors are impressive.

Dislikes

The college playground is so small so we can't play every game
The college placement cell is need to be improve because many students don't get a single job after completing the course

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I know that this course can help me for achieving what I want in the future. The faculty and student ratio is 1:5 that means for every 5 student there is one faculty. The faculty members are really qualified and their review teaching method is significant for us. There are four internal exams called ca1 ca2 ca3 and CA 4 and after this internal exams there are the final semester exam and this exams are easy to qualify.
