Review for RCCIIT

Likes

the library is good. have lots of books relevant to the course
the book bank facility is great too that helps us lend books till the semester end
the laboratories are clean and fully air conditioned and functional too. the new labs are also great

Dislikes

the washrooms are small and need quite maintenance
the classrooms do not have air conditioning so it's a bit tough during hot days
there is only one lift which takes much time when there's a queue for the lift

Admission:

I got selected during the counselling of the WBJEE exam. In the choice filling process i applied to other prestigious colleges such as Techno Mains, BPPIMT, KALYANI UNIVERSITY and so on. I got selected in my college during the counselling and the admission took place according to the WBJEE guidelines of admission. Students need to appear for WBJEE and secure marks and need to rank around 20000 to be eligible to take admission here.

Teachers are very nice and friendly and also supportive
The seniors are also very nice and supportive
The campus is present in a very good place in kolkata

Dislikes

Very small campus and the coolers doesn't work
Most of the time something is going on in college
Very small play ground and its very crowded

I was applying to jadavpur university but dues to my tank i didn't make it there and also this College is semi goverment and and in other colleges the fees is very much while this College fees is okay

Fecaulty Members Are Very Helpful And Very Friendly.
Well RccIit Offers Decent Balance of academic and extracurricular activities Like Techinical Fest And Cultural Fest.
Placementcell and Training at Rcciit is Fairly Active, And Most Students (especially From CSE and IT) secure jobs before graduation.

Dislikes

Limited Infrastructure and Small Campus.
Core Placements are weak (especiall for EE,ECE)
Slow Administration Process and Strict attandance policy we have to maintain 75% attandance.

Admission:

When i was applying for engineering colleges , i hade a few criteria in my mind thats is affordability, placement and potential. I have applied several colleges like MCKV and GURUNANAK in gurunanak i got IT but the college was very far from my home so i choose RCCIIT because of convinient in transportation and affordability. I was rejected from TECHNO MAIN because of my WBJEE rank . The admission process is smooth after clearing WBJEE and JEE students are required to participate in the online counselling.Document verification and fee payment is done after the final seat allotment.The college provide detailed guidence during the counselling processto ensure a seamless admission experience.

The faculty is friendly and will help u by providing important question during the exams
Library is well maintained & also there is lots of extra curricular activities in thr college like Game of thrones (Sports event) ,Regalia ,Bihaan cultural events etc
There is coding ,photography ,sports club as well which gives u free membership

Dislikes

Very small campus and college infrastructure is still old and needs refurbishment
Less chance for active sports activities ,due to very small campus
College has very strict rules and regulation with new dress code introduced as of 2024-2028 new session

Admission:

I applied for Netaji Subhas Engineering College (NSEC) and also got confirmed admission but its fees structure was 15-20% higher than my current college RCCIIT & also it was very less accessable and had no hostel facilities. I choosed this college because it is autonomous and government run by the State of West Bengal and is affordable and also has good accessability with satisfactory placement report . Yes i got rejection from some other colleges ,i didnt make it due to my WBJEE rank being not any good .My score was below their cutoff You can join RCCIIT by WBJEE counselling through your JEE or WBJEE scores .Almost 80% students are inducted through WBJEE and 20% is left for JEE students .College has no management quota .The cutoff for WBJEE for RCCIIT starts from 10,000 for CSE and runs upto 90,000 for Electrical Engineering

So the pros are some professors are very good and friendly with us and some are not as many of them are helpful to students
Campus is very small there are two parts of campus one is old building another is new building both of us are very small just like aate hi khatam hogaya!!! The campus life is good very friendly nature also they conducted bihaan which you appreciate
Infrastructure are just like other govt colleges it could be rate around 6/10 now you can imagine. The boys girls is ratio is preety good 1:1 and most importantly their teachings are average for some professor but some of them are very good

Dislikes

I didn't like placement facilities provided by the college
College infrastructure should be maintained and it doesn't looks like a private college and take very high fees from students so I didn't like the infrastructure at all
Very much money taking college like you have give additional charges for your exams which usually didn't take in govt colleges

Admission:

I have very bad rank in wbjee i didn't got any college. I got only two college one is rcciit and other one is techno India university so the course fees are almost same and that time I thought rcciit was semi govt so after 4 years it may improve their placement facilities but I was totally wrong they didn't care about students And most importantly they told me that it is semi govt but reality is it is not semi govt it is purely private college So basic eligibility is you have to pass class 12 with pcm and overall aggregate should be 60 percent not pcm overall aggregate ( 5 subject min) and you have to take either wbjee or jee mains To very honest they really don't care about your entrance exam they only want one things now is money from student . So what I see and what happen if you didn't give entrance exam like jee mains or wbjee etc you don't have to worry the doors are always open to you from college side you just enter and take admission through decentralised. It it much easier to enter then you think

Faculty are very knowledgeable and you can feel to free ask any doubt
Classes are too good for study and their have lift for up down
Placement cell and placement record are too good

Rcc institute of information technology have small campus
Also they have no proper playground.and also have not any indoor ground

Admission:

Rcciit has solid reputation in technical education and it is afflicted with makaut.it is accredited by aicte and recognised by various academic bodies It has well structured curriculum, good infrastructure, experience faculty, placement opportunities, affordable and scholarship, location advantage, students devloped and extracurricular, strong alumni network. In can get chance here by jee, wbjee and jelet also for lateral students

A comprehensive Review Of My College Experience

Likes

The campus offered a vibrant social life, with numerous club, organizations and extra curricular activities. This helps in both personal and professional growth. a
The faculty members were generally knowledgeable in their subject. many professors provided valuable mentorship , guiding students in carrier planning.
The placement cell was quite active ,especially for technical management courses.

Dislikes

while the core subjects were generally well-taught , some of the electives lack relevance and could be improved.
The girl-to-boy was somewhat not good . higher number of boys as compare to girls . this sometimes imbalance social activities worked.
one thing i disliked the most was the 75% attendance requirement.

Admission:

i applied to several colleges including BBIT ,Narula Institute ? Of Technology, RCC Institute of information technology . i choose this college beacuse of location , course affordability and also place opportunities. The college accepted entrance exams like WBJEE and JEE MAINS . The cutoff for our college is near around 20k in wbjee. Overaall admission experience was good .

Admission:

I had applied 2 other colleges just for a backup option. But this was first on my preference list.Eventhough I got selected by the other 2 colleges I was happiest to be selected and pass from this college. The reason for choosing the college were many like very advance and modern Lab, very knowledgable Faculty the Campus, also very top ranked students. Staff and the way of their teaching is too nice
The behaviour and homour of the staff is appreciated

Dislikes

Placement support is very worst , placement opportunities is not up to the mark, not even providing low lpa properly
Not providing internship opportunities properly, don't offer relevant and valuable experience
