NHCE Bangalore Campus & Facilities

NHCE Bangalore, has a modern and well-planned campus spread across approximately 11–12 acres. The campus is designed to support academic excellence as well as students’ overall development, offering a comfortable and resource-rich learning environment.

Key Campus Facilities include:

  • Air-conditioned classrooms for an enhanced learning experience
  • Advanced computer and research laboratories
  • A well-stocked central library with academic resources
  • Student activity center for co-curricular engagement
  • Fully equipped gymnasium and sports facilities for football, basketball, and other games
  • Separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms and dining facilities
  • On-campus medical support for student safety
  • Transportation services
  • Nearby banks and ATMs for daily convenience

According to a Collegedunia review by Arjun Neelamegam Dinakaran, NHCE enjoys a strategic location near several IT companies, which helps students gain industry exposure and access internship opportunities. He describes the campus as vibrant, with modern and industry-supported laboratories.

However, he also points out that heavy traffic around the college can be an issue and that the academic schedule leaves limited time for exam preparation. In terms of academics, the curriculum follows a traditional university structure, with comparatively less focus on practical learning and AI-oriented subjects. Placement activities begin from the 6th semester, and reputed recruiters like Deloitte and Capgemini offer salary packages ranging from INR 5 to 20 LPA.

NHCE: 17 Answered Questions

Which is better for CSE REVA University or New Horizon College of Engineering?

AzureSiren

I had applied to both colleges, but I chose New Horizon College of Engineering for my CSE degree mainly due to its proximity to home and better placement opportunities. The college emphasizes practical learning and has a robust placement training program, which starts from the 6th semester.

The fees for CSE were around 3.5 lakh per year, and I felt it was worth it considering the facilities and faculty support. The annual fest, Sargam, is a highlight for students as well. While REVA University might have some good features, NHCE's focus on placements and student engagement makes it stand out for me.

How is New Horizon College Bangalore for a B.Tech. in CSE?

ExcursionExpert

New Horizon College Bangalore is a decent choice for a B Tech in CSE. The curriculum is updated every two years, which is good because it aligns with industry needs. Exams are held every two months, giving us enough time to prepare. The faculty here is approachable and knowledgeable, and they provide plenty of resources and support. However, I feel like the placement opportunities are not as plentiful for my course compared to some other branches, but I believe they are improving. My experience so far has been positive, and I’m hopeful about the future.

Which will be good New Horizon IT or CMRIT CS?

SpectreSage

Honestly, choosing between New Horizon IT and CMRIT for Computer Science can be tricky. From my experience at New Horizon for Computer Science and Engineering, I feel like the placement opportunities are pretty solid. They have a good number of companies visiting for placements, with a highest package around 32 LPA, and an average package around 6-8 LPA.

The faculty is generally helpful and the environment is friendly, which makes studying a bit easier. The fees are high, around 3.5 lakhs per year, especially if you're going through management. Overall, if placements and faculty support are your priority, New Horizon might be a better choice.

How good is New Horizon Engineering college?

QuestQuasar

New Horizon Engineering College has its ups and downs. Personally, I enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and I can say that the faculty is quite supportive. They focus on practical knowledge, which is helpful, but the fee structure is a bit on the higher side. I pay around 2.5 lakhs per year, and the exams are manageable. The placement opportunities seem decent, with many companies visiting for recruitment. Overall, I feel that while the college offers good resources, the fees could be a concern for some.

How is New Horizon College of Engineering for a BE in CS? Is it true that a student has to pay 25 of the first salary to the college? Is it true that the college is money minded?

OutsiderOracle

Honestly, my experience at New Horizon College of Engineering for a BE in Computer Science has been quite mixed. The fees are steep for management students, around 3.5 lakhs per year, which can be daunting. There's also this thing about paying back a portion of your first salary that feels a bit money-minded.

On the flip side, the curriculum is relevant and prepares us well for the tech industry, and the placement opportunities are impressive, with many companies actively recruiting from the campus. If you’re ready to invest in your education, it might be a good fit, but keep an eye on the financial commitments.

Which college is best NMIT or NHCE?

JadeJellyfish

From what I've seen and heard, NMIT stands out as a better choice compared to NHCE, especially if you're looking at B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The faculty there is really supportive and many have solid academic backgrounds. The placement opportunities are impressive, with top companies like Amazon and Microsoft recruiting regularly. The average package for CSE graduates is around 7 LPA, which is quite good.

NHCE also has its merits, but I feel like NMIT offers a more comprehensive curriculum and a better campus environment. Events like Anaadyanta really enhance the student experience, making it more fulfilling.

In summary, if you're choosing between NMIT and NHCE for engineering, I'd say go for NMIT, especially for Computer Science.

How is mechanical engineering at New Horizon College of Engineering Bangalore?

CosmosCrafter

My experience in the Mechanical Engineering program at New Horizon College of Engineering has been quite positive. The curriculum is updated and covers a broad range of topics, preparing us for various challenges in the field. The exam structure is reasonable, with three assessments each semester, which helps in keeping the pressure manageable.

However, I think there could be more emphasis on practical applications to complement the theoretical learning. The faculty members are very supportive and are always available to help with any academic queries.
