MY journey at GCOEA

Likes

For my point of view , Fees is less than other private colleges .
Good Academic Structure ,After NEP 2020 The Academic Structure is much good and there is Dual degree facility for students
Placement Opportunities is more for tech branches .

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not good there are old buildings and not have much facilities.
Hostel Facilities: hostel is good and affordable but have limites seats and only for 2 year ,( 1st year and 2nd Year)
Campus: Compare to Private colleges College Campus Area is much more wide but does not have facilities .

Admission:

i got 97.43percentile in MHT CET i have more college options in other locations like pune,Mumbai,sangli etc Other Colleges like coep,pict,etc are very good but i get the lower branch in top instute. But Due to Finiancial Condition my family does not allows to go in private colleges and other expensive cities like pune and mumbai. i don't have much college options list because i completely decided to get addmition in gcoea,amravti i put this college in preferance no.2 i get admission in this college in first round so the admission process is done smothly without any problem.

The college was close to my hometown better proximity
The curriculum was easy and straightforward
The staff was laid back and chill did not fester us

Dislikes

No pravtical knowledge was gained in the overall curriculum
No social life was there in college no campus life

Admission:

I had applied to many other engineering colleges but I was not selected due to my low marks but I got selected in this college and other colleges which were private but I preferred this college because it had a government aggregate.

Just an average college

Likes

It is a very easy going college, the staff is does not worry us much
The overall atmosphere of the college is very lowkey

Dislikes

The teaching staff is the definition of typical government employees they never want to take lectures or even visit class
The management skills of the college really need work and better planning of exams should be done
No extra curricular acitivites are conduted in college even with the low placement rate the college does not take steps to increase the placements

Admission:

I applied to colleges such as VJTI- mumbai VIT-pune, MIT-pune, VIIT-pune but i was not accepted in any of these colleges as they did not have a reservation for my category in the post diploma admission quota I applied to GCOEA in the second cap round my diploma percentage were 86 and my NT category reservation helped in securing me a seat

I like College Sports is a big event which is known as Kalpana Chawala Trophy
College Events such as cultural event Prajwalan and Technical Event Zenith

Dislikes

College Academics- Teaching is not done accurately
Placements and internships in college are very less

GCOEA college is the best college in the Amravati district, moreover it is a autonomous government college having deccent placements than other private colleges in the city. I got rejection from best colleges of Pune and Mumbai. The admission process is through CAP and spot round is also available. There are no management seats.

I allotted this college by CET CAP round I also set preference for other colleges but they don't allot me in cap round and this college is nearly my home town that's i chose this collage and college addmission processes is very simple take 12,10 marksheet, cap allotment letter old school TC cast certificate and domicile and college fee receipt give this document to college and get addmission in college. simple

Math subject are very good thy teach us vey conceptually and other faculties are also very understanding.
I love my collaege campus it just look very beautiful in rainy season
I leave in college girls hostel. In my college girls hostel is very protective

Dislikes

Some faculties torcher alot sometimes it becomes so difficult to handle
No holidays are there. The distant students can't go home for a long time

My big brother was in this college this year he was placed in reliance industries. he suggested this college and I applied for this college for the first preference so I got is and it was autofreezed to I couldn't change it again.

Why GCOEA

The girls voice ratio in our college is about 50 50% college campus is very use but a very less area is used for construction and facilities
The faculties are very experience and highly educated so there brilliant is at very high level they are very helpful in our academics so it's our responsibility to score well in academics
The infrastructure of a college is a developing state so student have to adjust for the classes. Curriculum is legend according to national education policy 2022.

Dislikes

College ground is not managed according to students perspective as in rainy season there is a huge development of a Grass and nose throughout the year ground is clear only at a time of event
Faculties are well educated but they are not that much in full in nature so we have to understand concepts according to our comfort and study on YouTube for various aspects all difficulties we are getting in our academy
As a college is autonomous so we have to maintain relations between faculties. We don't have a wing develop d infrastructure. This creates a problematic situation for students also for a faculties

Admission:

I opted Government College of engineering Amravati because it is very close from my village and it is an autonomous college also it has a very good rank in top colleges in Maharashtra even I didn't thought about any other colleges before taking admission here. For getting admission in Government College of engineering Amravati you have to clear MHTCET exam it a very good percentile for this year electrical branch student cutoff was above 90 percentile this is only exam by which you can get admission here. On admission day it is a very long procedure for admission, you have to carry all the documents and submit them at admission desk.

FACTORS AFFECTING IN GCOEA

The college is autonomous and gives various opportunities for students the help in our placement and provide facilities for improvement.
We have a huge playground for various games and the social interaction is very easier as a college students you can do various things you expect to do in your college life. Also we have a big library and where is books there to understand concept
Here we have various laboratories for our experiments to understand concepts practically that makes a huge difference. Also the faculties are very experienced.

Dislikes

Ground is not clear throughout the year because of rainy season there is huge grass which is not maintained for whole year but when KCT comes the whole ground is cleared
Faculties are experienced but they are not that much helping in nature as autonomous college you have to maintain a good relationship between a faculty and yourself
Timing of library is not sufficient for students. Library is not available for 24 by 7. Also in hostel there is a water supply issue and many issues in maintaining electricity connection

Admission:

When I applied for other colleges I found that they are not autonomous. I had two options one wall Government College of engineering Aurangabad and second one is Government College of engineering Amravati so in between these to colleges I chose gcoe Amravati. As this college is nearby from my hometown and it is a autonomous college fees was about same in between those to college so I choose this according to my comfort. For admission in our college you have to perform well in your mhtcet exam here admissions are done on the basis of MHTCET percentile. The cutoff is about 85 to 90% varying according to a category. Admission procedure is very hectic has you have to carry so much documents and roam around the college from one desk to another for completion of admission

Things to know before taking admission in Government College of Engineering Amravati

Likes

First of all even it is a government College but the ambience of college is much better than other College
Placements in cS it department are very better than other departments
You will get library benifits if u git admitted in college

Dislikes

Old structure of college and dont have their own cultural hall
Staffs will take things on ego if you contradict with them
Hostel are so much older that when we used to stay the celing was collapsing

Admission:

The reason I choose this college was because I got admission in spot round and I had not any other options so many private colleges in the same city was very better in case of placements. I wanted to go for some colleges in Nagpur but due to let's go I didn't get into this college. I played for Ramdev Baba engineering College Nagpur but the cut of was so high. Send me a process if easy you need to go for CET exam which is mhcet after that general merit list will come and you will get a percentage score after that kya proced chart and you will get placed in college accordingly
