Don Bosco Institute of Technology Mumbai Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

This college was one of the 7-8 colleges which had christian minority. And Don Bosco is the best among those. The reviews I read about the college were good and many of my friends also suggested the college is great. I had few faculty contacts also in the college and their response was also that its a good college with great academics and campus life to enjoy and study at the same time. ALso the main factor was travelling and I wanted the college in a less travel duration and hence came to the conclusion of this college.

This is one of the best colleges in almost great connectivity from various areas of in and around Mumbai. The college also had a great campus and campus life which I got to know from alumni. The reviews about the college were good from friends and family who were familiar with the college. Also it was within good travelling time since i didn't want any hostel facility and wanted to study inside Mumbai itself.

It has a good learning environment as well as extra curricular activities were conducted. Faculty for my choosen department was great and placements were good enough, not the best. Number of small projects semester wise are taken seriously and innovating ideas/brainstorming is given 2 hours weekly(At the end of the semester you come up with a basic road map of your idea). The teaching is excellent in labs as well as classrooms.

The Reachability from my home, good learning and importance of discipline within the campus and outside of it. Also, the importance that is given to speaking/communication skills. The facilities in and around the campus are good.

the biggest consideration was that dbit had 51% catholic minority reservation for all the engineering programs. There are other colleges which have this reservation, but relatively dbit has good campus facilities and well equipped labs. I had been to many other colleges before filling out the forms and i felt this campus was really good. There are a very few engineering colleges in Mumbai which have a ground. During the campus visit i saw, dbit had 3 separate in-campus grounds for respective sports. So this was also a significant driving factor to take admission in this college.

College has ground. After lecs we can football n other sports. Factors which were considered in selecting this college were improving teaching faculty, welcoming and warm nature of the college with councelling mentor to each and every student, student friendly, feedbacks from passed out students, traveling distance from home. I opted for mechanical engineering course because I wanted to put myself in the suitation where I have to work harder compared to other courses offered in the college.

The college came up in the online process so i selected the college that i got. Then i search for the college on internet. It was rated quite good and also had the normal facilities that every college has. Main thing that i searched was for college placement and it was also satisfactory.

I had heard about the college from my relatives who studied here before. Being an engineering student, the college also encourages us to be more creative and take part in many cultural events as well.

It was closer to my house compared to other colleges. It has good facilities, really good canteen. I took a tour before applying the campus was quite nice consisting of 2 grounds and a separate parking area. Different departments were provided different buildings along with the labs my department (comps) alone had 13 labs. Also I had quite a lot of friends which were already studying here so this was a good option for me.
