Edwin Davis's Review On Don Bosco Institute Of Technology - [DBIT], Mumbai

This college was one of the 7-8 colleges which had christian minority. And Don Bosco is the best among those. The reviews I read about the college were good and many of my friends also suggested the college is great. I had few faculty contacts also in the college and their response was also that its a good college with great academics and campus life to enjoy and study at the same time. ALso the main factor was travelling and I wanted the college in a less travel duration and hence came to the conclusion of this college.

Few subjects are too theorotical and some are very practical. So there is a balance between them. It depends onhow much attention you pay and how good you study. Its not difficult but just requires some efforts. Also friends help a lot peer learning is veryimportant to learn properly. u can solve doubts and faculty are also very coperative and friedly so they help a lot. The faculties give enough freedom for you to explore any new fields and they guide you also in the domains of their expertise. Its just that you should be open and approach.

The placement oppurtunitites are good as far as i heard. Since Im in third year our placement procedures havent started. But the average packages and companies visiting are great. like TCS, AWS, etc.

The campus life is very great. the freedom is the campus is good so you can study and enjoy at the same time. its very relaxing and calm. there are many fests and department day celebrations and bunch lot of other events organized by variious clubs and chapters. The main fests are one cultural and one technical. Hysteria and Collosseum are its names. The fest days are the most happening days on the year and also the department days are prestigious events for all departments.

The campus consists of 5 buildings among which 3 are for engineering. There are many labs like 7-8 labs for each department and other workshops and service centers simulators and all for departments like mechanical and extc. The library is a huge library and we also have a digital library.there are 2 courts one a large one and one basketball court. Also there is a huge football ground in between the campus. There are recreation rooms for boys and girls and sports rooms also for games and indoor sports. THe labs are equipped with allt that you want every lab has a different specs machines depending on the usage. Canteen is also part of the campus which serves delicious food.
