Remarks

It has a good learning environment as well as extra curricular activities were conducted. Faculty for my choosen department was great and placements were good enough, not the best. Number of small projects semester wise are taken seriously and innovating ideas/brainstorming is given 2 hours weekly(At the end of the semester you come up with a basic road map of your idea). The teaching is excellent in labs as well as classrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus may not be upto date according to Mumbai University but the included assignments and projects bring in the latest skills required. There are no such industrial visits. The faculty is very good and are always available for doubts and other quieres.

Usually TCS, LnT, other such companies visit. There is an entrepreneur cell which works on making students start up their buisness ideas. I don't know much about it as I'm not a part of the cell. If you visit the college website you'd get the list of companies visiting yearly.

College Events

There is a lot of extracurricular activities and clubs. Participation is compulsory for certain events so that everyone does something. The overall participation is such activities is very good. There are always technical seminars, competitions, workshops held in college. Cultural fests are held yearly which include sports, fine arts, literary and all such events.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

For campus placement students from 3rd year for my course are eligible. Highest package for my course is 3 LPA. Companies like oberois , hyatt etc . If I'll get better placements then I'll go for it otherwise I'll do masters.

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Placement Experience:

Tata Group, Reliance Group, Aditya Birla Group and some other niche names from corporate are the ones who come for placements at law college. Since every year 300 students pass out and 150-175 of them get jobs from the college placement and the average salary offered is around 6-7 lakhs. Highest though last year was of 20LPA.

I got into DBIT post completion of my diploma so it was a DSE or Direct second year engineering entry students , I got EXTC engineering in the second CAP round . The college offers Engineering in 4 Branches namely Computer Engineering , IT , EXTC, and Mechanical and students can get admission through either by doing 12th or after diploma . For students who have did 12th the college accepts admission through MHTCET and JEE the cutoff are usually high above 90+ percentile for Computer and IT branch while slightly low 80%+ for EXTC and Mechanical branch. The college has a overall seats of 120 seats in computer engineering Dept 60 of which are reserved for Christian Students. MH-Cet percentile of 97 is required as even though it was lockdown when i took admission the cut-off was still that. DBIT MUMBAI : where learning meets vibrant campus life .

i didnt applied to other colleges because my sister used to study in DBIT so i was sure the college will be good . while i also thought i was elegible for the college so i preferred DBIT for its approachable faculty and industry connections. the adimission process at DBIT involves eligibility based on 12th- grade marks and MHT-CET schores with atypical cutoff arounf 85-90 percentile for IT. the process is smooth, with a centralized counseling ensuring transpency. rejections elsewhere were due to higher cutoffs but DBIT has proven to be a great choice overall....Read More
