The admission process for state colleges is conducted through the REAP system, which selects students based on a merit list derived from JEE Mains and 12th-grade scores. Applicants must submit a preference list of colleges, and allocations are made according to rank. Previously based on RPET, the process now relies on JEE Mains, with three rounds of counseling and a national spot round for unselected candidates.
