REAP 2026 (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) is the state-level centralized online counselling process for admission to B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Plan programmes across Rajasthan, conducted by the Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG) under the Government of Rajasthan in coordination with Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota. REAP does not have a separate entrance exam — it prepares a merit list using JEE Main 2026 percentile or Class 12 board marks. The 2026 application window is currently open and closing in just a few days.
- Registration Closing Soon: The REAP 2026 application fee payment deadline is June 10, 2026 and the form submission deadline is June 12, 2026. If you have not yet registered, go to reapraj.com immediately — these deadlines will not be extended.
- Merit List: The REAP 2026 tentative merit list is expected around June 15, 2026. An objection window will be open until approximately June 19, and the final merit list is expected by June 23, 2026 — the same timeline as last year.
- Choice Filling: REAP 2026 mock round choice filling is scheduled for June 24, 2026. Final choice filling and locking is expected on June 26, 2026 — you can fill up to 150 college-branch preferences across 190+ participating colleges.
- Counselling & Seat Allotment: REAP 2026 has 10 rounds for B.E./B.Tech and 8 rounds for B.Arch. The main Rajasthan state allotment round is expected on July 29, 2026. Physical reporting at allotted colleges is expected August 12–22, 2026 for over 85,000 seats.
What is REAP 2026?
REAP stands for Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process. It is a state-level centralized counselling process for engineering admissions in Rajasthan. The Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG), Government of Rajasthan, jointly with Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota, and the Department of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan, conducts REAP every year.
REAP does not have a separate entrance exam. There is no written test to sit for. Admissions are based purely on merit — your JEE Main 2026 percentile (if you have 20 percentile or above) or your Class 12 board percentile (if you did not appear for JEE Main or scored below 20 percentile).
Through REAP 2026, students can get admission to B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Plan programmes. Diploma holders can also apply for lateral entry into the second year of B.E./B.Tech. More than 85,000 seats are available across 190+ colleges in Rajasthan — both government and private institutions. The process is fully online, covering registration, merit list, choice filling, and seat allotment through a single portal.

REAP 2026 Merit List and Admission Basis
REAP 2026 does not have its own entrance exam. Your rank in the REAP merit list depends on your JEE Main 2026 percentile or Class 12 board marks. The merit list will be published in two stages — a tentative list on June 15 and the final list on June 23, 2026.
How the REAP 2026 Merit List is Prepared
| Candidate Type | Merit Basis |
|---|---|
| JEE Main 2026 percentile ≥ 20 | Ranked by JEE Main 2026 percentile — higher percentile = better REAP rank |
| JEE Main percentile < 20 or did not appear in JEE Main | Ranked by Class 12 board normalized percentile in PCM |
| Lateral Entry — Engineering Diploma | Merit based on engineering diploma normalized percentile |
| B.Arch | Composite merit: 50% Class 12 marks + 50% NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 score |
Tie-Breaking Rules
If two candidates have the same merit score, REAP applies these rules in order until the tie is broken:
- Higher marks in Mathematics (Class 12)
- Higher marks in Physics (Class 12), if Mathematics marks are equal
- Older date of birth — the candidate born earlier gets the better rank
- Randomization — computer-generated random order used as the final tie-breaker
Merit List Timeline
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Tentative Merit List Published | June 15, 2026 |
| Objection / Correction Window Closes | June 19, 2026 |
| Final Merit List Published | June 23, 2026 |
| Mock Round Choice Filling | June 24, 2026 |
| Final Choice Filling and Locking | June 26, 2026 |
After the tentative merit list is published, you will have until June 19 to raise objections if your data appears incorrect — for example, a wrong JEE Main percentile or incorrect category entry. The final merit list published on June 23 will be used for all subsequent counselling rounds.
Choices locked on June 26, 2026 apply to ALL counselling rounds. You cannot change your college-branch preferences between rounds. Use the mock round on June 24 to verify your list before the final lock.
REAP 2026 Counselling Process
REAP 2026 counselling is fully online and centralized. You do not need to visit any government office or counselling centre. All registered candidates participate in the same system. There are 10 counselling rounds for B.E./B.Tech/B.Plan and 8 rounds for B.Arch. You can fill up to 150 college-branch combinations as your preferences.

Freeze, Float, and Slide — What You Must Know
After each allotment round, you must log in and respond to your seat offer. You have three options:
- Freeze: You permanently accept the allotted seat and will not participate in any further upgrade rounds. Choose this only if you are fully satisfied with the allotted college and branch.
- Float: You accept the current seat but remain eligible for a better seat (a higher preference) in the next round. If a better seat is available in the next round, your current seat is released and you move up. If not, you keep the current one.
- Slide: You accept the current seat but want to try for a better branch within the same college only. Your college stays confirmed; only the branch may change upward.
Most candidates choose Float in early rounds to try for upgrades while keeping a confirmed seat. If you do not respond to your allotment within the specified deadline, your seat may be cancelled.
Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)
REAP 2026 includes the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS). Under TFWS, eligible candidates are admitted with a full waiver of tuition fees at participating private colleges. TFWS seats are allotted in Round 1 (June 28, 2026). Eligibility is based on family income — check the official portal for the specific income limit applicable in 2026.
REAP 2026 Seat Allotment
REAP 2026 seat allotment happens in multiple rounds from late June through August 2026. In each round, the system automatically matches your locked preferences with available seats based on your merit rank. The highest-merit candidate gets their most preferred available seat first.
How Seat Allotment Works
- The system scans your locked choice list from the top and allots you the first choice where a seat is available for your rank and category
- Rajasthan domicile candidates compete for 85% of total seats; out-of-state candidates compete for the remaining 15%
- Within each category, seats are allotted strictly in merit rank order
- The system does not wait for your consent at the time of allotment — your locked choices are final
After Seat Allotment — Steps to Follow
- Check Allotment Result: Log in to the REAP portal and download your allotment letter
- Accept the Seat: Respond with Freeze, Float, or Slide within the specified window
- Pay Seat Acceptance Fee: Pay Rs. 10,000/- online — adjusted against your college fee later
- Opt for Upward Movement (if needed): Choose Float or Slide if you want to try for a better option in the next round
- Report to College: Visit the allotted college with original documents during the reporting window (August 12–22, 2026 for Rajasthan candidates)
- Document Verification: The college verifies your original documents and completes admission formalities
If you do not report to the allotted college within the specified reporting window, your seat allotment is automatically cancelled. The seat moves to the next eligible candidate and is not restored under any circumstance.
After all centralized rounds end, colleges open Direct / Management Quota admissions from August 27 to September 11, 2026 for remaining vacancies. These seats are filled directly by individual colleges.
REAP 2026 Seat Reservation
REAP 2026 follows the Government of Rajasthan’s reservation policy. Seats are distributed across categories both vertically (fixed percentage for each category) and horizontally (across all categories for special groups). You should understand which category you fall under before applying, since category-specific seats have their own merit lists.
Vertical Reservation (Category-wise)
| Category | Reservation |
|---|---|
| Other Backward Classes — Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) | 21% |
| Scheduled Caste (SC) | 16% |
| Scheduled Tribe (ST) | 12% |
| Economically Weaker Section (EWS) | 10% |
| Most Backward Classes (MBC) | 5% |
| NRI Quota (Private Colleges only) | 7% |
| Management Quota (Private Colleges only) | 15% |
| All India / Out-of-State Quota (all colleges) | 15% of total seats |
Horizontal Reservation (Across All Categories)
| Group | Reservation |
|---|---|
| Persons with Disabilities (PWD) | 5% (horizontal — across all categories) |
| Female Candidates | 30% (horizontal — across all categories) |
| Defence / Ex-Servicemen Dependents | 1% (horizontal — across all categories) |
Key Points on REAP 2026 Reservation
- OBC-NCL and MBC: Reservation benefits apply only to non-creamy layer candidates. You must provide a valid, current (non-expired) non-creamy layer certificate from a competent Rajasthan authority.
- PWD Horizontal Reservation: PWD candidates compete within their respective category but also benefit from the 5% horizontal reservation. The disability must be 40% or more, certified by a recognized government medical board.
- Women’s Reservation: 30% of seats in each category are horizontally reserved for female candidates. If the required number of women candidates is not available, these seats revert to male candidates of the same category.
- TSP Area: Colleges in tribal sub-plan (TSP) areas — Banswara, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh — have 45% of seats reserved for ST candidates who are bona-fide residents of the respective TSP area. A special TSP residency certificate is required.
- Out-of-State Candidates: You compete only for the 15% out-of-state quota seats. Closing ranks in this quota are typically less favourable than in the Rajasthan state quota for the same college-branch.
Category certificates must be issued by a competent authority in Rajasthan. Caste or income certificates from another state are not accepted for category benefits in REAP 2026.
REAP 2026 Cutoff
The REAP cutoff is the closing JEE Main percentile or Class 12 percentage at which the last seat in a specific college-branch-category combination is allotted during each round. REAP 2026 cutoffs will be published after each counselling round. The table below gives approximate 2025 JEE Main percentile-based closing cutoffs for General category Rajasthan domicile candidates at notable colleges in the CSE branch — use these to assess your realistic options at your current rank.
Actual 2026 cutoffs will vary based on applicant numbers, JEE Main 2026 score distribution, and seat availability.

Preparation Tips for REAP 2026
Since REAP 2026 does not have its own entrance exam, your preparation is about maximizing your merit rank and making smart choices during counselling. If JEE Main is already done, the focus shifts entirely to counselling strategy.
If Your JEE Main 2026 Is Done
- Calculate your expected REAP rank using your JEE Main 2026 percentile — candidates at 20 percentile or above are ranked by JEE Main score in REAP
- Compare your rank against 2025 REAP cutoffs (see Cutoff section) to identify realistic college-branch options before choice filling
- Shortlist 30–50 college-branch combinations across safe, moderate, and reach categories
- Keep all required documents (marksheets, category certificates, domicile, etc.) ready now — last-minute document hunting is the most common reason for missing the physical reporting deadline
- Register for REAP 2026 before June 12, 2026 if you have not done so yet — the deadline is imminent
If You Did Not Appear in JEE Main 2026
- Your REAP merit rank will be based on Class 12 board normalized percentile — you are still fully eligible and should apply before June 12
- Candidates without JEE Main score generally get a lower priority rank than JEE Main merit candidates, so research which colleges fall within your Class 12 percentile range before filling choices
- If you are appearing for JEE Main in a future session, you can still participate in REAP 2026 on Class 12 merit and upgrade later through the upward movement rounds if a better seat becomes available
Counselling Strategy
- Use the mock round (June 24): Fill all 150 preferences in the mock round to see what seat the system would give you at your current rank — this is your most valuable planning tool before the final lock on June 26
- Fill all 150 choices: Never leave choices incomplete. Start from your most preferred option and go down to your safest backup — every extra choice reduces the chance of going unallotted
- Choose Float in early rounds: If you get an allotment in Round 6 that is not your top preference, choosing Float lets you try for an upgrade in Round 7 and 8 without losing your current confirmed seat
- Think branch over college name: CSE at a well-connected private college in Jaipur often has stronger campus placements than Mechanical or Civil at a higher-ranked government college — research placement data, not just rankings
- Consider newer branches: AI&ML, Data Science, and Cybersecurity branches at many Rajasthan colleges have slightly lower cutoffs than traditional CSE, with growing demand in the job market
- Do not limit yourself to Jaipur: Colleges in Jodhpur, Kota, and Udaipur have lower competition and can be excellent backups — especially if you want a government college

You are not disqualified for having a low JEE Main score — you can still apply through Class 12 merit.
Ques. What is the application fee for REAP 2026?
Ans. The REAP 2026 application fee is Rs. 885/- (including 18% GST) for General, OBC, EWS, and out-of-state candidates. SC, ST, and PWD candidates of Rajasthan pay Rs. 750/-. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid online before June 10, 2026. A separate counselling registration fee of Rs. 295/- is paid later when counselling opens after the merit list. The seat acceptance fee of Rs. 10,000/- (paid after seat allotment) is adjusted against college tuition fees.
Ques. How many seats and colleges are there in REAP 2026?
Ans. More than 85,000 seats are available across 190+ engineering colleges in Rajasthan through REAP 2026. These include government colleges, autonomous institutions, and private colleges. Seats are distributed across B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Plan, and lateral entry programmes. The exact seat matrix (college-wise and branch-wise) is published on reapraj.com before choice filling opens.
Ques. Can candidates from other states apply for REAP 2026?
Ans. Yes, candidates from other states can apply for REAP 2026. However, 85% of all seats are reserved for Rajasthan domicile candidates. Out-of-state candidates can only compete for the remaining 15% out-of-state quota. Closing ranks in the out-of-state quota are typically less favourable than in the Rajasthan state quota for the same college and branch. Minimum eligibility marks (45% in Class 12 PCM) apply to all candidates.
Ques. What is the cutoff for CSE at top government colleges through REAP?
Ans. Based on approximate 2025 data, CSE at top government colleges had the following closing JEE Main percentiles for the General category, Rajasthan domicile: MBM University Jodhpur (92–96+ percentile), CTAE Udaipur (88–93+), RTU Campus Kota (85–90+), Government Engineering College Bikaner (80–86+), and Government Engineering College Ajmer (78–84+). These are 2025 reference figures — REAP 2026 cutoffs will be released after each counselling round on reapraj.com.
Ques. What is Freeze, Float, and Slide in REAP 2026?
Ans. After each seat allotment round, you must respond to your seat offer with one of three options. Freeze means you permanently accept the seat with no further upgrade chances. Float means you accept the current seat but remain eligible for a higher preference in the next round — if a better seat is available, you are upgraded; if not, you keep the current one. Slide means you want to try for a better branch within the same college only, while keeping the college confirmed. Most candidates use Float in early rounds to try for upgrades without risk.
Ques. Can I get admission through REAP 2026 without a JEE Main score?
Ans. Yes. Candidates who did not appear for JEE Main 2026 are ranked by their Class 12 board percentile in PCM. You can still get admission through REAP 2026 — but JEE Main candidates with 20 percentile or above get priority in the merit list. Without a JEE Main score, your rank will be lower than a comparable candidate who appeared for JEE Main, which narrows your realistic college-branch options.
Ques. What documents do I need for physical reporting at my REAP 2026 allotted college?
Ans. For physical reporting (expected August 12–22, 2026 for Rajasthan candidates), carry: Class 10 and 12 original marksheets and certificates, JEE Main 2026 scorecard, REAP 2026 allotment letter, seat acceptance fee receipt (Rs. 10,000/-), Aadhaar card, category certificate (if applicable), Rajasthan domicile certificate, migration certificate, transfer certificate, character certificate, and medical fitness certificate. Bring originals and self-attested photocopies of all documents.
Ques. What is the REAP 2026 counselling registration fee and when is it paid?
Ans. The REAP 2026 counselling registration fee is Rs. 295/-, paid at the time of counselling registration — after the final merit list is published on June 23, 2026, and before choice filling on June 26. This is separate from the application fee (Rs. 885/- or Rs. 750/-) already paid during registration. You need to register for counselling to be able to participate in choice filling and seat allotment rounds.
