REAP 2024 Counselling

Counselling process is the final step in the REAP Exam which has been segmented in 3 or 4 rounds being mentioned below:

  • In the first special round (or spot round), Candidate of Non-Domicile of Rajasthan gets the opportunity for the seat allotment. 15% seats are reserved for such candidates so for the reserved seat admission is provided and the base is again the Merit List.
  • In the second segment of REAP Counselling candidate of Rajasthan Domicile are given chance to take admission in the engineering branch and engineering college as per the ranking in the merit list.
  • The third segment of REAP Counselling is known as “Upward Movement”. The benefit of this round is given only to the candidate of Rajasthan Domicile. This round is very important for those candidates who could not get an engineering branch and engineering college as per their choice or as per their higher preferences for the same.
  • In case seats of higher demand could not be allotted to the higher rank holder or admission to these seats could not be reserved and seats are still vacant then Upward Movement Round is commenced. Candidate, who got allotted other college or branch, will get another chance for admission to the branch and college of higher preference for which he made choice but could not get admitted. Such a candidate will be provided another allotment letter and with this allotment he will be able to report to that particular engineering college and engineering branch.

There is one exception of this advantage that if that candidate did not report to the earlier allotted college and did not submitted original documents, in such a case he will be disqualified for Upward Movement benefit.
