National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, popularly known as NIHFW, is an autonomous organization established in 1977. The institute offers an MD and Diploma in Community Health Administration, a PG Diploma in Public Health Management, a PhD program, and a Professional Development Course. NIHFW is affiliated with the University of Delhi

NIHFW accepts NEET PG score for admission to MD in Community Health Administration and PG Diploma. Admissions to Diploma in Health Administration (DHA) is based on the common written test conducted by Delhi University. NIHFW Ph.D. Admission is based on the score in UGC-NET/CSIR/ICMR/AYUSH/DBT, along with a research proposal presentation and interview. Admission to NIHFW is conducted by the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Delhi University. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the NEET PG Counselling for allocation of seats for MD and PG Diploma at NIHFW.

NIHFW PG Admission 2024

NIHFW offers admission to a Diploma in Health Administration, a PG Diploma in Public Health Management, and MD in Community Health Administration at the postgraduate level. Admission to MD and PG Diploma is based on the score in NEET PG followed by the counseling. Admission to Diploma is based on the written test conducted by Delhi University. Candidates pursuing an MD course can get a stipend of INR 1,00,000 per month.

NIHFW Ph.D. Admission 2024

Candidates who have completed a postgraduate degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible for admission to Ph.D. at NIHFW. A total of 12 seats are allocated for admission to PhD and five additional seats are allowed for in-service candidates.

NIHFW Admission Process 2024

NIHFW offers MD, PG Diploma, Diploma, and PhD courses at the Postgraduate and Doctoral levels. For admission to MD and PG Diploma admission, candidates need to score in the NEET PG. Candidates with a score in NEET PG are required to register for counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Admission to the Diploma in Health Administration is based on the score in the common entrance test conducted by Delhi University.

How to Apply for NIHFW Admission 2024?

Here are the steps to apply for NIHFW Admission:

  • Go to the official website of MCC @ mcc.nic.in.
  • Click on the “New Registration” link.
  • Fill out the registration form with details, including NEET roll number, Application number, Candidate Name, Mother Name, Date of Birth, and security pin.
  • After registration, candidates are required to pay the counseling fees based on a category through online mode.
  • Upload all the scanned documents.
  • Candidates must fill out the choice-filling option to select their preferred college.
  • After each round of counseling, the Medical Council of India (MCC) will release seat allotment letters. 
  • Candidates must report to the college at the given date to complete the admission process with the seat allotment letter.

Candidates who are allotted a seat at NIHFW by MCC are required to register for admission online at the official website of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi.
