Girls to boys ratio is 17:8 lots of girls are here and good female male interactions, some professor really teach well,cl
Practical labs are good having latest equipments and faculty
Good infrastructure and availability of comforts like playground gym washerman for clothes and hostel with mess
Dislikes
Overcrowding since 250 students are there so it's difficult to maintain decorum in theory cl
No proper teachings in class by most of the faculty
Very strict timing and dress code feel like I am still in school
Course Curriculum Overview:
Excellent exams are held every 3-4 months know as internals and in the end university exams.the curriculum prepares you for real world applications but the teaching methods used are useless and ineffective for students it can be changed so that curriculum useless is justified
Extremely good and abundant access to facilities like microscopes, lab equipments, etc, making it enough for everyone and preventing crowding/fighting for such resources
Very well connected network with national and international students, which in turn provides a good exposure to exams like USMLE, PLAB, AMC, etc
A lot of research opportunities present, and the college is willing to help students in conducting their own research
Dislikes
Cadaver to student ratio is 25:1, which is still better than a lot of institutes but it gets crowded sometimes
Very strict attendance policy that many-a-times affects participation in extra-curriculars
Anatomy Department’s HOD is very rude, inconsiderate, incompetent and overall very much disliked by the college
Student Snaps:
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is according to the CBME guidelines and is followed very strictly in the college.
The teaching method is Audio-Visiual with the professor teaching the students with help of powerpoint presentations
The exam frequency frankly is really packed, which I believe should be relieved a bit.
The faculty is amazing and knowledgable but strict
The hostel is big and has plenty of cases
The hostel is nice and mess food is also good
Dislikes
No holidays for us because of our course
Too strict classes in 1st year with restrictions
College campus is too small and there is crowding
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course is exhaustive and requires lengthy periods of studying and lot of effort. Self study is must to excel in this course and in exams. The exams here are moderately difficult. If ome studies properly he/she can easily clear it with ease.
College has a hospital attached with high patient load .
Practical knowledge gained by treating patients
Classroom facilities are upto standards required
Dislikes
Some teachers just read the powerpoint presentation
College Campus is far from hospital making it time consiming to commute
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum is based on practical knowledge that helps dealing with the patients daily .
Although timings of classes could be decreased
It is more practical based than theory based
We can have more of practical sessions than theory
I like the sports facilities in the college very much, the hostel is one of the cleanest neat hostels i have seen, campus is beautiful and green
The library is vast and has a huge collection of books and also has a separate air conditioned room with computers for public use
The culturals at the college are well organized and frequent, lots of fests
Dislikes
The hostel food is very average and can hardly be eaten
More sports facilities can be made and going to different college fests can be increased
Hospital is 20 minutes far off from the college and hostel so it poses a challenge for everyday travel although they provide bus facilities
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is vast and extensive yet absolutely captivating and helps us understand the human body. The curriculum prepares us very well for the real world applications via OSPE and OSCE. We are also early on exposed to hospital environment
Time restrictions. You should be inside college campus before 9:30pm
Hospital distance from college. Hospital is far from the college
Course Curriculum Overview:
MBBS course helps us prepare for becoming a helping hand in the society for treating patients. It's a really interesting course to pursue. We have our exams after every 3 months. Each exam is for 3 hours (theory exam).
Junior-senior relationship is quite good, ragging does not take place in our campus.
The campus is quite green and is not very crowded.
Dislikes
The faculty and staff are not at all helpful.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course as I want to help the society. Also, biology always fascinated me and my parents encouraged me to pursue medicine Faculty: student ratio in my college is about 1:4 .Most of the faculty are MBBS qualified and have completed PG in their respective fields. Course curriculum is fine, most of the syllabus has to be studied by oneself on one's own or with external help as the faculty is not of much help. 3 internal exams are taken each year at an interval of about 3 months each after which the final university exams are taken. They are easy to pass if one studies 2 hours each day and a bit more before the exams.
The course curriculum is not easy. We have 19 subjects in 4.5 years and it's not easy. But the faculty members are very friendly and lovely in JSS. The reason I chose this course is because it was my passion. I'm a second year student and as far as i can in my first year mbbs there were 200 students and maybe we have 18 to 20 faculty members in each subject. Our faculty members were mostly associate professor, HOD, senior resident. They teaching is good and satisfactory they teach what important for us to remember and conceptual wise even difficult topics they make it easy to teach. We have 3 semester before our final university paper and the question paper is standard so that every student can pass. So it's great
Because it's one of the famous medical college of India, and moreover mbbs is something i wanna do from such a nice college also in my marks range there were other colleges with much tuition fees than this one., That's why its Better, and i really wanna be a passionate doctor who literally has a good piece of knowledge and is there everytime somebody is in problem and many of my known people also recommends me to this college
Overall it is a great college for mbbs and some pg subjects. It has great academics and other resarch facilities bit it is expensive to study here. If some one can afford then it is one of the best private medical college of country.
