- Excellent student support resources from mental health to build life in Canada and many more
- Library is huge and you can borrow upto 100 books, that's awesome
- Beautiful campus, Campus is spread across Southern Winnipeg and is huge, it has excellent network of underground tunnels, which is boon during -30 C winter.
Dislikes
- There is nothing which I didn't like about university if I be honest, they have thought about everything student might need and have already provided it, the only thing I didn't like truly sometimes is course availability but there are limited number of professors teaching so I can understand, hence overall I do not have anything major which I didn't like about my university.
Campus Life
- We 2 campus of University of Manitoba,.one in North Winnipeg and one in South, south one is the main and largest one in the province,
- University of Manitoba has all facilities, library, big active living center (it includes gym, swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court and all other sports court,
- There are many clubs and events going on all the time in university, it depends on one how many they want to take part in.
Fees
- Total fees for MBA program was $55,000, and $3500 for books, fees are charged credit vise and they are due each semester/term, there are 3 terms winter/summer/fall, I didn't stayed at campus hostel but if one want to stay then costing is around at $2000 per month, if you stay outside campus like me then rent is $500-$900 per month,
- You can finish MBA based on how many course/credits you take in a term, minimum you have to take as a international student to maintain full time status is 9 credit per term,
- Your monthly expenses will be around $1200 - $3000 per month including all, it highly depends how you live, some my friends who are living in sharing room and cook at home their monthly expenses is around $800-$900 including everything, for me it's around $1500 per month, Rent - $500, transportation - $300, Food and groceries -$500, phone bill - $100, miscellaneous -$100,

Likes
- I like how they have vast number of programs including the thesis based. Department of Immunology and medical genetics are very challenging for someone without any research experience but I really appreciate for the people who can understand your status and train based on your needs.
Dislikes
- There are few supervisors who are very rude and toxic so it all depends on whom you select and how you maintain a healthy relationship with your supervisor. There are plenty of workshops to increase your skills, maintaining stress, balancing work and life and so on for our mental health.
Campus Life
- It’s good. Everyone will be friendly. You can easily find people to navigate for something. There are plenty of events happening all over the year.
Fees
- For the first year, you need to pay $7500 for the first 2 semesters, and you will get $7500 as an entrance scholarship if you have more than 8.5 gpa. After the first 2 semester, you need to pay $2000 every fall and winter and $700 for the summer until you stay in the program.
Likes
- Low tuition fee was the main factor I choose between UofA and Uofm.
Overview
Overall university is very good just I don’t like weather here in winter that only bad thing.
Campus Life
Good campus, 24*7 access to labs and you can access gym and library on campus.
Likes
- It's one of the few universities that provide one year course in this field.
- Good campus, knowledgeable and passionate staff and availability of all the resources one might need as an international student. The variety of offered courses is also good. One can choose from a 1 year course to a full bachelor's degree program.
Dislikes
- First of all it's far from the downtown of Winnipeg to have to take public transit to commute. Moreover the courses can be more practical as for now a few courses are just theoretical. Although some of the instructors do put efforts individually, the same is not true for all the courses.
Overview
Its a mixed experience. Some things are good like the campus and the instructors. But it's only available for international students, which makes it seem like extended education section of University of Manitoba exists just to make money for the university in exchange for post graduate work permit to the students. Not a loss for students but it's a fact.
Campus Life
For 1 year course extracurricular activities are not included but the everything is available for degree students.
Likes
- Good reputation for MBA, had Marketing as a major and opportunity to participate in case competitions.
- The university provided me with an incredible learning experience through a well-structured curriculum that challenged me to think critically and creatively.
- I appreciated the diverse range of courses offered and the flexible scheduling options that allowed me to balance my academic and personal life.
Overview
I've had a really fun and insightful overall experience. I feel like I've learned and grown a lot, which has been really rewarding. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had and excited to continue learning and growing in the future.
Campus Life
One of the best infrastructures in Canada. The library is well-equipped and the three-story gym is very modern with all the amenities.
Campus Life
They have very good infrastructure with good funding. In my previous internships in India, we were encouraged to reuse materials for training and expiriments but here they encourage you to not reuse stuff to avoid contamination in expiriments. I cannot comment on extracurriculars because right now everything that isn't necassary is shut down due to covid, so no gatherings, etc. I believe when things opens up students are going to get chances to go for seminars and conferences and events. We have seminars every friday, to meet professors and students. We do celebrate diwali, christmas, halloween etc.
Overview
It is in my present city of residence.
Fees
3000$/ semester for domestic student, 6000$/semester for international student.
Overview
I chose this university as it has amazing faculty and way of teaching, with a friendly and respectful, and safe environment. Students encourage each other to succeed.
Fees
CAD $5200 (approx)
Overview
After getting admissions from various universities and getting instated in the home army I decided to pursue my degree from this specific University, mainly because of the outstanding faculty in my relevant field as well as the quality of life Canada had to offer.
Fees
18000 CAD annually
Overview
There were more opportunities at this university when it comes to resources, better gym, more people and definitely better socials. Had a large variety of programs including the program I did which the previous university didn't have. Admission Process Easy, application fees roughly $4500, didn't apply to other ones.
Fees
The Fee was roughly $4500.00 or so since it was a science program. It was similar to the Faculty of Science, and most of the additional charges are for the labs that were used. For international students, there are scholarships available on the websites including the faculty website and the University of Manitoba Website.
