What students say about University Canada West

Likes

  • We are studying the current syllabus, and apart from that, I have learned so many business software, such as Capstone and Project Libre, during strategy and project management courses.
  • All the students have the opportunity to do an internship to develop their skills in different sectors and increase their chances of getting a good placement. All students participate in internships to develop their skills and resumes.
  • Company comes to the college, and considering the colleges good reputation, finding work after graduation is possible. Additionally, my program is non-co-op, so it is fair for the college not to provide me with a job.
  • First of all, it is based solely on our academic marks or percentage marks. Ultimately, it depends on our performance in the entrance exam. \nThe criteria for obtaining a scholarship is quite straightforward; it depends on the entrance exam, our percentage, and how we fill out the application.
  • The campus is very good and huge.\nMany people from India are doing their masters, and there are also many people from different countries.\nThe library is very large, and all sports games are available.\nMedical facilities are also available.
  • Students also get an opportunity to score good marks in the entrance exam and receive more scholarships.
  • All professors are Ph.D. holders, and I have been greatly influenced by their way of lecturing and displaying kindness.
  • The admission procedure is very simple. \nI will fill out the admission form on the colleges official website. After that, I received a call and completed the basic details. \nGetting good marks in JEE helps a lot for admission.

I chose this because my friend studied in the same college and referred me here, and I chose this college because they offer courses which include getting a CPHR license.

  • Overall image of college is not of top/prominent. null

I chose Canada for a good life for my offspring. UCW was selected due to the success rate of VISA applications. MBA was chosen due to it being aligned with my past experience.

I chose this country because all my family members were here in Canada. It was the best and easiest route for me. I always wanted to do an MBA in my Career. So that was solving my purpose. Reputation-wise university of Canada West is growing well. UCW is located in Vancouver and has a good vibe because of the downtown surroundings. From the very start, I was interested in Finance and I did CFA level 1 before joining MBA school. So it was an easygoing MBA for me. I learnt a lot like how to handle pressure and how to manage a job along with your studies.

Dislikes:

  • "Exorbitant fee structure. Moreover, hey seek fees for books over and above the fees paid to them which can cost from $50 to $100. It's located in Vancouver, Downtown which is super expensive. If you stay in Surrey/ Langley, it may take up to 1.5 hours to reach the campus. " .

It was okay, my purpose was to re-settle there but the cost of living is huge as compared to the income. more than 1/3 income goes in rent.

I have always dreamed of studying in Canada and would like to get a Commerce Degree based on my results. Before going to college, I found out about the university and applied with its help. So I applied and received an offer. Another reason is that only this university provided a scholarship of $ 10,000. So why would not I choose this university if providing me with such a big amount of scholarship.

Good ranking, but there are certain negative reviews probably because students were not able to score. We have to keep in mind that it's a Masters degree and not bachelors. Expectations are meant to be high.
