- No Such competition, no talks of placement. Everyone is here to get entry into Canada.
I chose this country because all my family members were here in Canada. It was the best and easiest route for me. I always wanted to do an MBA in my Career. So that was solving my purpose. Reputation-wise university of Canada West is growing well. UCW is located in Vancouver and has a good vibe because of the downtown surroundings. From the very start, I was interested in Finance and I did CFA level 1 before joining MBA school. So it was an easygoing MBA for me. I learnt a lot like how to handle pressure and how to manage a job along with your studies.
Course Curriculum
The course is relevant if one really wants to learn. I got the opportunity to get the Co-op as my CGPA in the first 3 terms was more than the threshold.
Faculty
As I was from a Finance background, I took option courses in Finance to my career in Finance. I was so impressed with one of the faculty members, he has around 20 years of industry experience. I would recommend upcoming students to take his course. his name is Mr. Goldblum.
Campus Life
Campus life was fun. Infra-wise wise campus is as small as it is downtown. Facilities wise it was okay. One should make the maximum out of it as you get new friends and colleagues.
Placement
There were no placement talks at the university. University along with some other schools or corporates arranges some Job fairs.
Accommodation
I came here with my Family. So we rented a 2 BHK basement that cost us around 1700 CAD per month in Surrey. if you go near Vancouver it may cost more.
Exams
IELTS requirement is one should get 6 in each (R, L, W & S) Grade 10-86%, Grade 12- 72%, Tech -7.6/10, MBA- 3.6/10 Requirements: I did submit an SOP where I clearly stated why I want to do an MBA and how this degree is going to help me start a new career. One should write -why MBA, what after MBA.
Fees
It was around 42K Cad in my time.
