Course Curriculum

10

  • The difficulty level of the course depends on the professor's expectation. Curriculum is designed in a professional way where students can gain practical and mix of both easily.
  • Positive is that we can learn more practical business concepts in this course and the real-world market job skills. Negative aspect is the sometimes students cannot manage the workload of the course with the part-time jobs.

Admission Experience

  • Recently, I m doing my studies in Canada from University Canada West (Masters in Business Administration).
  • I had applied to Australia also which I get all the admits.None of the colleges the received rejection.
  • In my perception, there is no rejection of my application at that time. But, yes some colleges and universities gives rejection in my application when I applied to US universities.
  • I have only applied to one university which I got admitted and moved forward to apply for visa and got the visa approval easily by this university.
  • University Canada West for Masters in Business Administration, the criteria is B+ grade in bachelors and GMAT (optional), IELTS are the admission criteria. 6 or 6.5 bands with no less than 6 gets easily admission.
  • My overall experience is great.
  • My intake was July 2024 intake which a Summer (2024) because it is the main intake in this university only and the weather is awesome mostly in Vancouver side.
  • Admission process is simple just apply online with all your documents in the university website or apply by consultancy also. With a detailed timeline within a 7 days of application they will give the approval.

Class Schedule

10

  • There are many classes in a day with a schedule of 8 am to 10:20 pm in a day (Monday to Sunday).
  • Well, there are different class sizes as depend on the professor's type.

  • Indian students are 70% in this university.

Faculty

10

  • Faculty-to-student ratio in the course is 1:50, 1:35, 1:20, 1:15. Faculty can teach in-person in the class and the quality of education is great because faculty gives extra attention to each and every student and clears all the doubts.
  • Course is structure with a practical and basic approach of the job market and I cannot say further this now.
  • Yes, faculties are great give referrals of the alumni to the students to get a part time and full time jobs.
  • Ange Quapp(University access program), Ashu tiwari(Business Economics) they are the most admirable faculty.

Campus Life

6

  • Our college is two campuses which is in downtown. One is Granville Street and other is in West pender street.
  • Facilities are available on the campus such as the library and medical services, there is no sports facilities.
  • Well, there are numerous activities in college i.e., MBA games, Diwali party, NSO, Convocation, UCW day, Reconciliation day etc.

Part Time Jobs

  • There is no Teaching Assistant (TA), Research Assistant (RA) or Departmental Assistant (DA) positions.
  • Other on-campus jobs available like part time brand ambassador of Career Development cell which is about $18 per hour and full time job of a tutor are available for pass out students.
  • Maximum hours to work in Vancouver is 24 hours per week.
  • Easy or difficult it cannot say because there are lot of positions in on-campus so it cannot be differentiate.
  • Mostly students have a part time jobs out side the campus and earn hourly basis. It depends on people to people while applying jobs because some students get easily some students take time to find the suitable job according to their domain.
  • The usual process for students to apply for part-time jobs. First is the search the job openings in the near by area and drop resumes or submit application online like indeed and other job platforms, if eligible for interview there is a call or an email.

Placement

4

  • It is cannot be say easily because there is 5000 students per semester graduating and really depends on the student to student whether they want to do a job in MBA stream or continue there part time job as a full time employer.
  •  Some students do business also. Therefore, it is a private university it cannot be distinguished with the numbers of 6 months.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • There are many online platforms available in Vancouver. However, I found my accommodation via Facebook marketplace.
  • The monthly rent is $700 per month excluding utilities.
  • People cannot give accommodation easily because of students in Vancouver area because it is expensive to pay.
  • Don't stay in Surrey and low based accommodation if your university is in downtown area.
  • My accommodation is near my university area easily connected public transport. Only takes 30 minutes to reach on my college. Most of the Indian students stay Surrey because it is cheap but it is too far from campus area

Exams

  • Exams are required all which is given in the question. The main criteria is the IELTS, PTE)
  • The documents are the Statement of Purpose, CV, all the marksheets of your academic journey including 10th, 12th, bachelors degree and marksheet, extracurricular activities certificates.
  • There is no interview part in the application process. It's acceptance rate is 80% all types of students can get in easily in this university.

  3. $200-$300 grocery.
  4. $40 mobile bill.

Scholarship

  • No, I didn't get any scholarship.
  • Many of my batchmates got scholarships but they have to maintain 3.8 GPA in every semester to get the scholarship amount back after completion of course.
  • Mostly, it depends on the students whether they maintain the GPA of 3.8. But it is easy to get scholarship in the beginning of the course their is only one criteria for Indian students is 80% in their bachelors studies.
