• For IT we have few companies here so getting a job within six months after graduation is really easy for computer people, but really difficult for other branches as the market for other branches is really bad so most of the people move out of the province and go to whichever province they get a job.
• There are a few jobs that related to Oil&Gas are available in this province if you are getting a field job related to your study then your pay will be minimum $70,000 and above.

• I was living off campus as it was cheaper as compared to the university accommodations. Here most people use Facebook marketplace to find accommodation or furniture basically all other things to buy/sell.
• My monthly rent was $600 including the utilities for the first year. Then I got another good house which was $500 excluding the utilities but the room is nice with my separate washroom so I moved into that house. Nowadays, finding accommodation is really difficult because of the housing crisis happening in Canada.
• The time I came, there were a lot of houses available and anyone could’ve easily got the house within one week, but now the situation is different. The house I am living in and my previous house as well is just five minutes walk to the university. This is the common area where all the students stay, it is the right opposite to the university on Elizabeth Avenue. 

Currently, the economic situation, it's a little down. But hoping to improve. As far as I know, lot of placement and internship opportunities depending on the program, but also the competition considering the huge number of international students admitted last 3 years. Salary is around 25000-35000 CAD per year. Professors or academic advisors provide references and suggestions for companies to apply for internships.

Memorial University has a large range of programs and less tuition fee, a higher success rate and is situated in the safest province. The University campus is huge and different faculties are available. It is all culture inclusive University and really secure. Everyone is helpful but studying is a little bit hard.

There is a great chance of getting full-time job offer from your work term employer if your performance was adequate. Aprt from that, job competition can be very challenging. Learn skills and build a network in the Univeristy and among employers to secure a job.

English language proficiency test results, 12th marksheet is required. Done go for consultants. Do your own research of what programs you want. If you ndont have your 12th marksheet ready, apply with your 11th marksheet and they may give you a provisional acceptance. Present 12th marksheet to get the final acceptance letter. Their acceptance process is quite slow.

A lot of multinational companies visit the campus every semester and a lot of students gets placed. The placement is 80%.

Good! Lot of companies hire undergraduate students through the Coop program. The coop can be of various lengths from 8 to 12 to 16 months. The Research opportunities are also excellent and have various programs such as MUCEP which is Memorial Internship Program to do research. Percentage of students placed in CS is 95 percent. Median Salary - 75k CAD.

My experience at Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped onto the campus, I knew I had made the right choice. The academic advisors and career counselors were always available to guide and assist students in achieving their goals. Additionally, being part of research projects during my upper years was a fantastic opportunity to delve deeper into my field of study and gain valuable experience that has benefited me after graduation. As I look back on my time at MUN, I am grateful for the memories, the friends I've made, the knowledge I've gained, and the personal growth I've experienced. Memorial University of Newfoundland has provided me with an exceptional education and a supportive community, setting me on a path for a successful future.

There is no placement like India. We have to apply for the job ourselves. However for COOP the university has COOP office that will guide you.

So far it has been excellent. So many opportunities right from working as TA to being vide president in IYA to COOP , there has been wide areas to explore and learn and has definitely expanded my skillset as a software engineer.

Students do get placed in SLB, suncor or shell which are top most international oil company. The advantages of doing masters is degree credit and research work. But it also have disadvantage like not having mandatory internship which can help you gain industrial exposure.

Studying and completing your graduation in university is one of the never miss experience. Accumulation of study academic and involvement of extra activities makes it worth a try.

It’s good, have drives conducted in campus to understand the market. Hundreds of companies show up which help you understand what they are looking for.

Overall the experience was good! Had a great time except for the weather which is horrible.

There are no placement offers that I know of for MASc programs. Would be great if they implemented such processes.

I had a great time learning about the culture and the standards at which a masters course is being taught. Learned a lot.

There are some events where companies visit university but they don’t do hiring . Its more of networking event.

It was great experience for me . Because from the start I have self taught my self specially because faculty is not so great. But accept that campus life is really good.
