- Professors are real good, they have real world knowledge like some of them are part time, they work in MNC's, some are from University of Waterloo.
- Access to wide range of tools, systems through the university.
- All the facilities, like gym, swimming, pool, student union floor, cafeteria, sports, etc.
Dislikes
- Paid Parking for students as well.
- There are a few foreign professors, who don't really speak or understand english that well, and it creates a communication gap with them.
- Housing is very expensive if you go through the university.
Placement
- Full time job market is a bit hazy right now, but on average 60-70% of students find a job within 6 months after graduating. Average salary is 60-80K CAD/ Yearly which we can expect nowadays.
- Mostly students find jobs by applying only via LinkedIn and Indeed.
- No one from my batch has found a job yet. Can't say who would hire specifically from my course.
- Off-Campus, I lived with my family in Brampton, which was about a 100km away from the university. I bought a secondhandcar, and I drove it twice a week to the university.
- As per my observation, the monthly rent was 700-900 CAD/monthly, some included utilities and some did not.
- Challenges people faced were mostly with getting job to pay rent, or with lease agreements or landlords.
- Check the place and landlord thoroughly, also try to negotiate the best you can and don't for On-campus accommodation, and be aware of the frauds going on Facebook Marketplace.
- I lived 100kms away 100 kmhe university and Indians stay majorly in Kitchener and Brampton

Likes
- Good campus life.
- Plenty supported by the university especially by the wellness centre,
- Very vibrant international community with tons of events.
Dislikes
- Course selection is bad.
- The department of my program is not that helpful.
- 2-3 courses are online which does not make sense.
Placement
- Out of the 20 people who graduated in the last intake, all of them ended up getting a job within 6 months after they completed their course.
- The average salary range can be $70000 per year in the IT field
- Students usually network around, but apply for jobs through linkedin. The biggest help in getting a job are internships as they demonstrate Canadian experience which is very essential for some employers as a lot of Indians have a history of faking their previous work experience. Other than linkedin, there's indeed, monster, dice and wellfound for finding jobs, but the best way would be to network with people especially in events like hackathons
- A batchmate of mine got a job in Nasdaq but his previous experience as an intern helped out in getting an interview. But most of my batchmates converted their intern jobs to full-time jobs. Most of the past graduates work in banks like TD, CIBC, Scotiabank etc.
- The university is very helpful when it comes to helping students to find internships as almost everyone in my batch who had an internship was because of the university's career center
- I found accommodation through facebook marketplace. My rent was $700 which included laundry and utilities (electricity and water).
- I did not really face any challenges while finding accommodation, but when securing it, I had to make a decision within 2 days after viewing because of it's high demand.
- For future students, I would recommend to get a private room if possible because then you can focus a lot on your studies.
- There's Facebook marketplace, Kijiji and real estate agencies which rent out and if you find real estate agency which specializes in student housing (WCRI in my city, Waterloo), then you can find pretty cheap rooms near university campuses.
- My accommodation is around 4 KM away from the campus. Most of the Indian students live in the city of Kitchener, but some groups did live near the university but they had to share their rooms with at least 3-4 other people to afford those places.

Placement
Not aware of this. However, big companies sponsor competitions in our university, and there are connections through them.
Lower tuition costs, a good business program, the chance of co-op.
Placement
The placements vary depending on the program. It is very hard to find a good job in the arts program mostly because the university does not have a vested interest in promoting the arts program.on the other hand, BBA has great opportunities.
Because it had a small campus and a community feel. I enjoyed the feel of the campus when I was researching it. Additionally, this was one of the few universities in Canada where they did offer a co-op program to art students.
It had the program I wanted and has a really good community. The campus is nice and small so it is easy to get to know everyone. The professors are nice and helpful. The university staff help make the school feel welcoming so I went.
I opted for this university because of the unique program that it provided. Political science BA with an LLB Law degree in England. It also had a small campus which made it more personalized. It is number 1 in student satisfaction.
Placement
You look for them yourself so it's up to you to find a good opportunity. I'm sure there are many opportunities out there but it comes down to how hard you want to try and look for them, contact the managers and how your interview will go.
It was one of the only options for me to take Kinesiology because in high school I didn't take advanced math or chemistry. I have always loved the school because my older sister studies here as well, so when I got accepted it was an easy decision.
Because I got to move away from home and experience living on my own as well as gaining the freedom of having my own place without someone always asking me questions. As well as the program here at Laurier is amazing for business.
Friends and a good social life. This school offers a lot of clubs and extra school activities. Laurier has a good party life and also is good for all kind of students who may not like partying, the gym is also really nice
I chose Laurier because of the small campus size, program reputation, and it is close to my home town. Laurier has smaller class sizes which makes learning a more personal experience and you are able to get more attention from your professors!
