- Professors are real good, they have real world knowledge like some of them are part time, they work in MNC's, some are from University of Waterloo.
- Access to wide range of tools, systems through the university.
- All the facilities, like gym, swimming, pool, student union floor, cafeteria, sports, etc.
Dislikes
- Paid Parking for students as well.
- There are a few foreign professors, who don't really speak or understand english that well, and it creates a communication gap with them.
- Housing is very expensive if you go through the university.
Campus Life
- I am aware of 2 campuses, Waterloo and Stanford. I studied at the Waterloo Campus.
- It has Library, Gym, Swimming pool, Medical Clinic, Pharmacy, Cafeteria, Students Union Floor.
- Major festival is St. Peter's Day; it's a huge parade in Waterloo.
- There are trips for Camping, Niagara Falls, and Canada's Wonderland, and there are also many hiking trails nearby the university.
Accommodation
- Off-Campus, I lived with my family in Brampton, which was about a 100km away from the university. I bought a secondhandcar, and I drove it twice a week to the university.
- As per my observation, the monthly rent was 700-900 CAD/monthly, some included utilities and some did not.
- Challenges people faced were mostly with getting job to pay rent, or with lease agreements or landlords.
- Check the place and landlord thoroughly, also try to negotiate the best you can and don't for On-campus accommodation, and be aware of the frauds going on Facebook Marketplace.
- I lived 100kms away 100 kmhe university and Indians stay majorly in Kitchener and Brampton

Likes
- Good campus life.
- Plenty supported by the university especially by the wellness centre,
- Very vibrant international community with tons of events.
Dislikes
- Course selection is bad.
- The department of my program is not that helpful.
- 2-3 courses are online which does not make sense.
Campus Life
- My college has 4 locations. They are in Waterloo (where I go), Brantford, Milton, and Kitchener.
- My campus has a library, a wellness centre, around 4-5 study areas (from large halls to medium sized rooms), 2 fields, and a gym which has swimming pools, basketball and volleyball courts, and a badminton court.
- Homecoming football game is the most popular event at my university, but there are multiple other events that keep happening over the time.
- They are all shared on different instagram accounts managed by the university and also through a newsletter.
Accommodation
- I found accommodation through facebook marketplace. My rent was $700 which included laundry and utilities (electricity and water).
- I did not really face any challenges while finding accommodation, but when securing it, I had to make a decision within 2 days after viewing because of it's high demand.
- For future students, I would recommend to get a private room if possible because then you can focus a lot on your studies.
- There's Facebook marketplace, Kijiji and real estate agencies which rent out and if you find real estate agency which specializes in student housing (WCRI in my city, Waterloo), then you can find pretty cheap rooms near university campuses.
- My accommodation is around 4 KM away from the campus. Most of the Indian students live in the city of Kitchener, but some groups did live near the university but they had to share their rooms with at least 3-4 other people to afford those places.

Accommodation
Yes, there is residence only for the first years after which students have to take up leases in Off-Campus Housing. There are different types of residence, which can be found on the university website in detail. Since Waterloo is a student town, the demand for housing is usually high. Rent within 1 km of the university area can range from CAD $550-800 a month. If living off-campus, public transportation is paid for in your tuition itself. Most people use the bus and the ION. However, in the winter it is tough to use public transit due to the snow.
Lower tuition costs, a good business program, the chance of co-op.
Accommodation
I lived on campus in the first year. This was a single room dorm. It has a semi-private washroom I shared with another girl. I was also forced to purchase a meal plan for which I had to pay 5000 for the year. This was in addition to the cost of living in a residence which was 5500 over the year.
Because it had a small campus and a community feel. I enjoyed the feel of the campus when I was researching it. Additionally, this was one of the few universities in Canada where they did offer a co-op program to art students.
It had the program I wanted and has a really good community. The campus is nice and small so it is easy to get to know everyone. The professors are nice and helpful. The university staff help make the school feel welcoming so I went.
I opted for this university because of the unique program that it provided. Political science BA with an LLB Law degree in England. It also had a small campus which made it more personalized. It is number 1 in student satisfaction.
Accommodation
My residence was like a hotel. It had three floors with 22 people on each floor. I had all the girls on my floor which was great because I met my roommates that I live with right now on my floor. We had a don who watched over us all year but she was super nice and didn't get mad or upset at very much. We often had pizza parties in the lounge or ordered food from our on-campus restaurant. I miss residence a lot and all the fun things that came along with living with 22 other girls!
It was one of the only options for me to take Kinesiology because in high school I didn't take advanced math or chemistry. I have always loved the school because my older sister studies here as well, so when I got accepted it was an easy decision.
Accommodation
Well, I didn't live in residence. I lived off residence on my first year which isn't really recommended but I didn't feel like I missed out on anything, to be honest. I still feel like I had the same experience as others except for the first month or so.
Because I got to move away from home and experience living on my own as well as gaining the freedom of having my own place without someone always asking me questions. As well as the program here at Laurier is amazing for business.
Friends and a good social life. This school offers a lot of clubs and extra school activities. Laurier has a good party life and also is good for all kind of students who may not like partying, the gym is also really nice
Accommodation
In first year I stayed in apartment style residence and my building was about a kilometre from campus. My apartment had 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a full kitchen, as well as a common room. This year I am living in off campus housing run but a private company that is also about one kilometre from campus.
I chose Laurier because of the small campus size, program reputation, and it is close to my home town. Laurier has smaller class sizes which makes learning a more personal experience and you are able to get more attention from your professors!
